All you need is Woody Harrelson telling him to shut up and you've got a new True Detective scene.

That site seems to be the only place running with this so far.

I'm not seeing confirmation of that on any other site but that one. I would LOVE it if that turned out to be true though.

Me, too, though I want to know about my boy Taylor more. :)

Farrell was up for which role? Wasnt it the same one that Kitsch was tapped for.

Or do we not know

They were different roles. They're supposed to play partners or something to that effect. Vince Vaughn was rumored to be the antagonist and there's a female lead as well. Elizabeth Moss and Jessica Chastain are the two names I keep seeing in regards to that role.

Yep. Looks like Colin is our first confirmed cast member. The rest should be rolling out pretty soon then.

I was the first person in the world to say Will Ferell would be the star in season 2.

I like Farrel (and Kitsch too)

Still wish we got Brad Pitt though...

why don't they hire Nic Cage dammit? he would have great chemistry with Ferell I'm sure.

Because Nic Cage's performances can be unpredictable. It could go very wrong, very fast. I want a season 2 better than season 1.

So many things alligned at the right time to give us what we got in season 1, I'm just hoping for a season that can match it.

Losing Cary Fukinaga as director already puts it at a disadvantage somewhat.

I don't think so. It will just give a few episodes their own different feel. I like that they're aiming high with names like William Friedkin being put out there for a couple of episodes.

This.

No way Season Two touches Season One. As much as I want it to be the greatest, it will have a drop off, hopefully it stays a solidly good TV show though. Only thing we can hope for.

That's the trouble with such a great opener, how can you maintain that level of greatness?

Being a brand new story with brand new characters helps. Easier to judge it on its own merit than seasons past.
