It's still a lot of months till the release, so no, i don't think it'll get postponed.

They're gonna release the movie. The projected budget for the movie is $150 million, much of which has been already spent. There's no way the executives from WB are going to throw away that money. It's all about business.

Not sure how the viral marketing is going to continue, though.

Yeah and the WB suits know that there's no such thing as bad press. They are going to turn this thing into profit.

I hate to say this, because it's so unfair, but The Dark Knight will be very successful due to this. It's Heath Ledgers final, and you have to admit guy, he gave it his all. I'm in shock, seriously, shocked. I would never want a movie that seems to have everything going for it to be succesfull due to such a tragidy.

And now...I'm thinking about The Joker....and how that will effect thing for the story that is Nolan's Batman. I'm so pissed off right now, at Ledger for this. He was one of my favorite actors, ever sinse 10 Things I Hate About You, the guy was just different and I liked that about him.

I don't know what to say really. Look forward to The Dark Knight July 18th...it'll be very bitter...and sweet...but more bitter now (for me anyways).

I know people will think this is kinda bad to make a post like this right now but...

How do people think Heath's death will affect the rest of the post-production/release of TDK?

P.S This isn't a 'rip heath thread' so save it for the community as the mods ahve said
Ah Maddona'! It's too early for this! Jeez wait a while!!!

The movie is going to reach iconic status for reasons beyond the story, acting, or anything else.

I know that they might not be mentioning it for awhile, but has there been any mention of TDK being his last film or did he/was he int he process of filming another after TDK wrapped?

He was filming or filmed his parts in the new Terry Gilliam flick "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus".

This man SHOULD NOT BE DEAD. I am absolutely distraught by this news, as are all Batfans. I really could cry, because I have been idolizing this man for almost a year now.

What affect will it have? Well, first and foremost, I fear for Batman 3... This might put Nolan off forever...

One man died during filming, and one man dies just after filming. I really cannot believe this has happened. The biggest shock that has ever hit me in my entire life.

I just had to get this off my chest.

In his last interview, he's constantly rubbing and touching himself... tell-tale signs of a junkie.

I'm floored by this news. What a bloody stupid waste...

I'd be lying if I said a million different thoughts about what happens to the franchise didn't cross my mind with this news. But still, I'm going to hold off a couple days before I get into that.

Sadly, I was thinking the same thing. Horrible & selfish, I know, but I couldnt help but think "what now?"

Yeah...he was a junkie. Hate to admit it, but he couldn't hide it...ever. Sure he could work his ass off, but what do you think kept him doing so? :csad:

sad day, pray for his daughter.

THAT is the right sentiment.

A person's life > How the Dark Knight is going to turn out

Some of you people are simply are ridiculous.

What about reediting? any insensitive shots that have to be taken out, like in the crow or small soldier with phil hartman?

Re-constructive surgery. If they made another and need the Joker, that is the way they would go. But I could careless right now.

ill never understand the ledgers and curt cobains of the world.r.i.p. heath.if d.k. was your final film, its now set to acheive classic status.

It will mean that Heath's daughter has lost her father. Beyond that... all else is truely meaningless.

I dont know guys, the entire marketing scheme is going to have to be reworked. I would not be at all surprised if its bumped back to 2009 and they do reshoots with a different actor.

Wrong time for this subject people.

I just dont know what to say; I am awaiting warners reaction.

How will they bring Joker back in the third movie? A re-cast would mess everything up. I have a feelng that Nolan will call it quits after TDK is released :(

bullisth. the movie is about wrapped up. all they are doing is editing. it will come out on the due date.

This is like being concerned that Spider-Man couldn't use their first trailer after 9/11 because they showed a helicopter webbed up between the towers. Think of the larger picture here. This is just so sad and so very tragic. The guy leaves a baby daughter and family, get some perspective or priorities, people.
