I'm the same way with celeb's heatvision. I've ran into plenty and kept my distance without doing a thing..

..but I would have approached Henry. I wouldn't be able to live with myself not to shake his hand and thank him for his commitment to representing the \S/ like a true man's man.

Back in 2013 I went to my first local Comic Con only because Margot Kidder was to attend. When I arrived, she ended up leaving early and I missed her. I still kick myself for not being to attend sooner and get a pic with Lois Lane. Those are once in a lifetime things. I'm sure Henry wouldn't have minded. He digs his fans.

Should have leaped on him and gone: "WHERE'S THE SNYDER CUT? WHERE IS IT?"

"Live at 11: Local Floridian is arrested for attacking Superman's Henry Cavill, rambling about some Snyder Cut. Local patrons had to pry this man off of Cavill who himself was seen crying by observers, repeating, 'I want the Snyder cut too, I want it too.' This bizarre incident is the latest in a spate of actors from the movie Justice League that have been randomly attacked by fans demanding something called a Snyder Cut... more on this in the coming days."

Now that I know it was him, I do kinda wish I did say something, but then we'd be talking about College Humor level stuff. I can imagine one of those youtube videos and the skit would be broadcasting the whole minute leading up to me saying hi to him.

Me: "Ok, man, be cool. It's Superman, but he's just a guy. Puts his pants on one leg at a time. Or does he? I wonder if he has people put his pants on for him? OK, so I'll just go up to him, say... say what? I don't know what to say. I could say I loved you in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman... Wait, no, he's heard that a million times, or the opposite. I don't want to same something lame. I could say he's a great Superman. But still, something better than that. What, what could I say. Uh oh, he looked in my direction. Pretend I am doing something else. OK, he's looked back down at his phone. I hope he didn't notice me looking at him. I am getting closer. What to say, what to say? This shouldn't be so hard. He's only Superman, ridiculously good looking, has a great accent, buff, and everyone loves him. That should make it easy, right? OK, I'm a few feet away now, got to think of something. Just say something, whatever comes to your mind."

Cavill: "Hi."

Me: "Uh, do you want a refill?"

Dylan Sprayberry (teenage Clark) looks so much like HC. I hope we get flashbacks to Clark's late teens with him in MOS 2

Lol, keep it simple bruh!

Me: Big Superman fan, Henry. Thank you and good luck with your future projects. I wish you well. Oh, and looking forward to Man of Steel 2!

So if MOS2 aint in production by 2020, can we assume that is it for the sequel? I ain't talking about potential cameos and all that. To even make it worse, if he doesn't appear in cameo capacity in Shazam, it will be worse.

It's the Routh post-SR campaign all over again.

It's the Routh post-SR campaign all over again.

As someone who was here for that yes it is. :(

Ah, those were the days.

I remember how intense debates would get regarding the uncertainty of Routh's future in the role, especially when it was later announced that they were trying to make a Justice League film back then.

And then things took a interesting turn for awhile when it was rumored that Tom Welling was in talks of getting the JL Superman role with Routh being able to reprise his role in the standalone film's.

It's both sad and amazing on how we are back to square one again 10 years later.

Honestly I've gotten to the point where I'm indifferent to anything now, whether it be official confirmation that Cavill will no longer portray the role again or if we will NEVER get another solo superman film.

Sadly I'm right there with you. :(

Really the whole state the DCEU is currently in is just sad and pathetic to see.

To think that we are at that stage where Marvel could release a film about any group or character and still make more money and be received better than the best heroes that DC has to offer.

Geoff Johns and anyone currently involved with the DCEU producers should be ashamed of themselves.

yea, the dc comics and all those characters are like an untapped gold mine.

i believe its possible to create dc movies on the same level of critical and financial success as the mcu...but dc/wb needs to manage it better, which they are not.

i feel the timmverse, imo, is the closest in comparision to that inter-connected universe for DC, but that was the small screen and since it was a "kid's show", not as many people paid attention to it.

johns and the producers definitely should be ashamed.

I doubt they even think about these things. They are stuck in "2011 - DC movies development model" period.

If you think Geoff Johns is responsible for where we are now, you're huffing glue.

And not only that, but the idea that JL could make the kind of money that it did and the higher-ups wouldn't feel that... give me a break.

Heh...Johns and Berg are definitely responsible for JL. It was the only movie that they oversaw from principal photography to finish, and through reshoots. That was also the period where DCEU slate became more and more cluttered, and projects kept losing directors.

Thankfully that all seems to be over now Hamada is in charge, and DCEU looks like its stabilizing again.

They might hold a share of the responsibility, but this goes so far beyond just JL. This is the seed of distrust towards DC movies that was planted by Snyder's ****ty MOS ending. This is WB seeing someone, whose best outcomes up to that point had been a decent zombie remake and a panel-for-panel Frank Miller reenactment, as the curator of this universe. This is WB seeing their second (SECOND!!!) movie as the perfect opportunity to jam-pack about a dozen disparate elements, including the ****ing Death of Superman, into it. This is that movie, that in this era should've hit a billion without breaking a sweat, barely cracking $800 million. This is WB rushing headfirst into a Justice League film without even waiting to see if BVS got a good response.... and considering the polarizing response that MOS got, that's ****ing insane.

Did Johns and Berg manage to turn things around their first time at bat (if it even was their first time, I've heard that Aquaman was going to be their first)? No. But the level of damage that had already been done could've assured that before their names were even connected to the film.
