or make Superman turn evil. The thought of those things happening infuriates me beyond words.

I loved Cav-El in this, too. He did well with the little he was given. However, I agree that Superman did get the short-shrift in this movie again. I'm not even talking about the fight. There should've been more of him. More focus on developing him as a character and letting people really hear viewpoints, more focus on him as Clark Kent the Daily Planet reporter, and Clark Kent Lois's lover.

See, I felt even when Supes wasn't present, his aurora was overwhelmingly felt to me. IMO, what he was givin TRUMPS anything good he did in Man of Steel. His scenes are powerful and standout. When Henry is on the screen, it's gravitas all the way. I thought the movies core spoke for Superman more, but when Supes was involved, I was insanely satisfied with what he was givin and like I said, the story felt so focused around him that when he wasn't there, he was.

If that happens, I'll go from the happy I am now to serial killer p#%#ed off, lol. I can go from 0-100 if they do that.

But another poster pointed something out to be and at my first viewing, I caught some things that lead me to believe it's deceiving and not the case. [BLACKOUT]I didn't connect the Injustice storyline because I didn't dive into that story yet (still got to read volume 1) but I did connect something Flash was saying that could be towards Superman....or something else subtly.[/BLACKOUT]

OMG, don't even put that out into the universe.
Even if it's an alternate timeline? The writing's on the wall they're heading that way. [BLACKOUT]Flash served as the warning. Jonathan served as the foreshadowing.[/BLACKOUT]

What did that other poster point out?

How did PA Kent foreshadow that?

Interesting. MAN I need to see this movie again. I'm focusing like a hawk on this scene.

Surely they wouldn't be stupid enough to do something that foolish would they?...Oh yeah, they probably would.

Damn, you just reminded me the most disgusting fact about Injustice, Clark kills a pregnant Lois himself while being drugged into thinking she's doomsday. :barf:

Too dark for an audience.

But there's another side to the Injustice story, the good Superman (from a world where nothing happened to Lois) goes into the bad superman universe and defeates him.
Maybe they are thinking right now "Oh how cool would it be to see 2 supermen fighting!"

I better stop thinking about it.

I'm not familiar enough with Injustice--he really kills pregnant Lois accidentally? Gawd that's intolerable.

There's a lot of reference/evidence that Clark values Lois' life more than anything. And I can see Snyder wanting a Supes v Supes fight. I fear what he has up his sleeve. Praying Tra-el is right.

Which, from the writer's point of view, is IMO truly brilliant idea. Trick and outsmart nearly divine being to kill his own pregnant loved one thinking it's his worst enemy, how devilishly ingenious is that! :drl:

The joker drugs him, he's desperate, he thinks he's fighting doomsday who has Lois, but in reality he was beating his wife and unborn child to death .

ugh so disturbing...

[BLACKOUT]In Injustice, Superman accidentally kills a pregnant Lois after the Joker tricks Superman into being mind controlled to think he is fighting Doomsday...but it's really Lois. Superman then loses his absolute mind and puts his arm through the Joker. Literally.[/BLACKOUT]

How did PA Kent foreshadow that?
The anecdote about Jonathan saving his farm but accidentally causing a flood at the Lang's, killing their horses and livestock. He was inconsolable until Martha helped him recover. That's where "Martha was my world" came in. She was his rock and he wouldn't have done it without her.

The line is repeated twice by Clark, in the Knightmare sequence and Doomsday fight. Snyder's planting clear seeds here.

That's just awful.

That's just awful.

It is. It's the backbone behind Injustice.

It's a good Elseworld for what it is...but I would NOT support this. IMO, the studio would have to step in if it was ever even thought of. I'm not going to jump to that conclusion just yet though. I really don't want to either lol. I'm going to interpret the scene close tomorrow.

Sometimes I wonder how the hell can I disagree with somebody so badly. [BLACKOUT]Superman was CRAPPED on by everybody the entire movie but still felt the most vulerable and heartfelt. Supes was great and it showed why I love him so much. His dialogue to Lois was outstanding and crazy likeable. Maybe it's because I think of my wife the same.[/BLACKOUT]
Yeah he's definitely crapped on the whole time, which just makes him feel even more miserable and pushes him farther into that hole of self-doubt. The movie gave him no scenes to just be a likeable guy, he didn't even attempt to explain himself to the press or anyone, and did not develop a friendship with Batman or Wonder Woman whatsoever. He barely speaks to Batman and he doesn't speak to WW at all.

I s2g, they'd better not do it... :cmad:

I'll respectfully disagree:yay: In every way I might add, lol. I'll go into more depth as to why maybe a little later on, but givin' the context of each and every situation Superman was in, I thought he became more and more likeable. Really seeing the why of his story arc makes me smile.

The Only reason why I feel like we may have SOMETHING to look forward to as Superman fans is the Interview that Henry had with Jimmy Kimmel recently about JL.

And I'll be front row with the pitchforks with you all

I'm sick of comics fridging a female just to "motivate" a man.
