Heroes Strike Thread (Post all strike related news in here)

So here's a question, had the second half of what was supposed to be season two been completely sh**canned in favor of Kring's plans for retooling the show whenever season three comes around?

I guess we'll never know....

I thought I had read that Lost was one of the few shows with a large number of eps already written. You might be in luck.

am i to understand that this is the series finale? or just season? it's just season right?

aight good. but does that really mean that they have to put a stopper on the whole season, though? why can't they just do what The Office is doing and put the show 'on pause' until the strike is over and then start coming out w/ new episodes again? why panic and cut it short like this? it's like stopping in the middle of peeing and walking away from the toilet.... wtf? someone enlighten me!

Because they suck!

I mean talk about a rip off! 11 episodes for a season? WTF? They could have waited until the strike was over and finished the rest, just play them thought the summer, who really cares? The worst part is that now we get a rushed ending. How can just fix everything in 3 episodes? How the **** can you do it? They only re-shot the last one, so tell me how the hell do you do it?

Plus, I know for a fact that they have a few more episodes already in the can. Atleast two or three for after the holiday brake, but they say, "Nah, let's just end it." Oh yeah? Well **** off, I say! Let's see how the fat cats like it when every TV in america stays off for the next five months.

Hollywood sucks, end of story!

If they showed everything they shot people would still whine after that run that it has ended just like people are whining now. It would be no different no matter what they do.

They could make it up in the summer. Plus, what would you rather have? A long break? Or a ****ed up ending? I want my moneys worth!

Your paying your cable bill just to see Heroes

That's not what I mean. We've been faithful to the show, watched it and paid for it. I want a good second season, not a rushed crappy ending. It's like being a kid and finding out your favorite football star uses crack! You feel cheated!

They are forced to do damage control. I'm sure they hoped that the strike would be avoided and they would be able to wrap up Volume 2 : Generations, go on break, and then comeback with Volume 3 : the Virus. They probably broke the season up this way in anticipation of the strike. So I have no problem with them reshooting the final episode if it resolves some of this season's questions. Episode 11 was probably supposed to conclude Volume 2 and leave us with cliffhanger leading into Volume 3. And if the strike lasts a long time, then I would rather have some closure instead of a cliffhanger to think about for who knows how long.

If this is true then I'm fine with that. My only beef was that I thought they would have to resolve everything this season in 3 episodes. The Virus, Sylar, everything.

nah i feel kinda the opposite. i think that if they put it on hold until everything got resolved rather than just end just, *pfft*, ending the season, i would have been extremely upset at how long i'd have to wait for it to come back, but i would know that it would come back and that it would deliver some good, quality, non-rushed episodes that would keep me entertained. for a while i'd be dissppointed with not having Heroes to look forward to every week, but i would soon get over it and get used to my normal life knowing i have something truly great to look forward to at the least. i would also say to myself that it could've been worse because they could have panicked and f***ed us in the @$$. which is exactly what they're doing now.

Hey, I just saw an article on ComingSoon.net that the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) are going to start negotiating on November 26!!

Do you think that this means there's a chance that we'll be able to see our season end the way that it was intended?

It sucks, but hopefully this will give Kring a chance to realize NOT TO KILL OFF NOAH! DAMMIT!

It's encouraging whenever the writers and producers would continue their negotiation. It may not happen overnight, but I think this shows that they are willing to get it another shot. Let's face it: this strike not only hurts the writers, but Hollywood as a whole. Everyone loses until this is resolved.

I'd rather it end in an arc than be left hanging for an unknown amount of time. Plus it may give the writers a chance to go back and tweak the show a little.

Hollywood's writers having been churning out what amounts to crap relatively speaking lately. Shows are becoming more and more generic and predictable.

I almost wish the producers looked for edgier, non-union writers, and take a creative risk.

do you (directed towards everyone) think that if they did resolve things before Dec. 3, there would be enough time to film the scripts that they had lying around and decided not to use when they decided to film the season finale instead?
