Homeland - Part 1

Nice send off for Allison. I was hoping she was still alive so Saul could deliver the fatal bullet.

I'm hoping for a miracle that Quinn lives to fight another day.

I don't like where this thing with Otto is going. I hope to never see the guy again.

I'd like to see Quinn continue as he was my favorite character, but I'm not holding out much hope. Don't know how much of me t seasoning will want to watch without him in it. :(

LOL when you guys said Otto, I thought you meant Miranda Otto and I got so confused. :lmao: But now that I finally remembered During's name, I agree!

I really really REALLY don't want Quinn to die! :argh: :waa:

The following borrowed quote sums up the fantastical elements of this show, plus the finale was another flat tyre although not as bad as last year. still enjoy it

"Hey, let's leave this witness we've been interrogating alone in the office for a while. Oops!"
"Hey, let's leave this probable Russian double agent alone in the hospital for a while. Oops!"
"Hey, when we leave our apartment, lets keep all of our plans out on the table instead of destroying them!"
"Hey, I found all these plans for an attack on the subway. What? They don't mean anything because you trust the Russian double agent's intel over mine? Okay then."
"Hey, you're meant to be guarding me because I'm suspected of being a Russian double agent but can I please borrow your gun? Thanks!"
"Hey, there's meant to be a terrorist attack on the city and all these Muslim men are locking people up in the subway. Let's not go and get any help or alert anyone!"

I really thought this was the last season and the cliffhanger. Will she kill Quinn or he'll awake was the last scene in the series. Knowing it's the not the end changes things, I would of been cool if it ended like that. Now I hope Quinn is alive and back to his normal self he's meant too much to the show to die offscreen.

He's dead. He's not coming back from that lol

He's dead. He's not coming back from that lol

Here is a good comment I found which I believe gives hope for Quinn next season.

"Quinn’s last words were that he would be a beacon of light to shine ahead and guide her away from the rocks. I believe when the bright light came through, surprising Carrie (she had shut the blinds) and resting on his face, it was Quinn’s metaphor coming “to light”, guiding her away from the rocks of her intended deed. Quinn wanted the killing to stop, at least from her hands. The finale was highly satisfying."

Even if she didnt kill him. He isnt coming back. Yall need to remember what the doctor said. Quinn suffered too much irreparable brain damage. If he wakes up he will be a cripple. A drooling, brain damaged cripple.

Yall really need to let the guy go. Badass Quinn is gone. He may not be dead, but he is as good as.

I agree. Unfortunately, Quinn is better off dead.

If anything maybe he'll show up a la Brody when Carrie goes off her meds.

I really hate both Carrie and Saul for waking him up early those murderers! :cmad:

‘Homeland’ Season Six to Be Set in New York; Showtime Boss Talks Series’ Future

Showtime’s hit spy series has filmed all over the globe — from South Africa to Berlin — but next season will bring the drama back home to the United States.

Newly minted CEO David Nevins told reporters that “Homeland” will film its next season “in and around New York City,” revealing the news during his executive session at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, Calif. on Tuesday.

President of programming Gary Levine heaped praise on showrunner/executive producer Alex Gansa, saying, “We are in awe how Alex Gansa and his writers reinvent ‘Homeland’ every season. It’s exciting to see how they bring it back to the U.S. and reinvent it again.”

Nevins also addressed the fate of Quinn (Rupert Friend), who suffered sarin gas poisoning last season — and was last seen locked in a hospital room with Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes). “I know and have seen exactly as much as you guys have seen,” he said. “There is no definitive answer given.”

He resisted any comparisons to shows like “The Walking Dead,” which have toyed with viewers’ expectations about whether a given character is alive or dead. “Homeland is a show that killed a lead,” he said. “It attempts to live in the real world. It’s less about playing games. There won’t be a supernatural solution.”

Levine added that Quinn would be changed by the experience. “If he should live, it will not be in any way shape or form the way he has lived to date,” he said.

The executives also talked about the future of the show, saying they’ve had “vague” discussions with Gansa about a potential end date. “He tends to attack the seasons one by one,” said Nevins.

Added Levine, “It’s not imminent. He sees many seasons to come.”

A comatose invalid that Carrie comes to visit and tell all of her woes. :(

I'm hoping he comes back as some stay at home dad living with Carrie. Not all quite there but high functioning.

I know this show dabbles in fantasy, but if Quinn comes back as anything more than a comatose vegetable then the show will have crossed into pure magical fantasy. Is Carrie going to sacrifice a goat to the Dark Lord himself and sells her soul for Quinn's health and vitality or is some Frankenstein type doctor going to put a new brain in his head? I'm curious to see how this plays out.

I think he should be dead. If they need him back, he should be part of carrie's imagination or part of a flashback.....

So I been rewatching season one of the show and they knew how to cast. Stars from Supergirl, The Blacklist, and Gotham have starred or guest starred.

In an Afterbuzz Interview with Shaun Toub he said there are on going talks about his possible return next season.

Javadi from Season 3.
