Naruto - Part 1

I liked the ending. I pictured something like that. It was satisfying.

Besides all the shortcomings I complained many times, I had a lot of fun following the growth of Naruto, all the characters surround him and their adventures. Even though there was a drop in quality towards the end, this is still one of the best manga/anime I had the pleasure of following.

It was worth it.

I hope the next generation of mangakas learns from this manga, both what worked and what didn't.

Either way we still have quite a lot of content to look forward to, anyone noticed the rise in technology? Naruto was even holding a laptop.

You know, the problem here is that Kishi gave all the wrong parts of the finale a huge amount of time to go over and glossed over the parts that should have been given more time to go over.lol

I mean Part 2 was supposedly building up to this big rematch between Naruto and Sasuke and yet that battle finished within the time span of a month's worth of chapters, whereas the battle between Naruto and the 10 tails lasted for nearly (or even over) a year's worth of chapters.

And what I really don't like is how Kishi pretty much made every major villain that the series had go through some redemption arc or add in a plot twist that they were never really bad but had to pretend to be.

The hell is wrong with having at least one major villain who doesn't have some tragic background and is just pure evil from beginning to end?

But, one thing that I'm happy about is that Naruto didn't end up with Sakura.lol I wouldn't define myself as being much of a shipper, but I'm glad that Naruto ended up with Hinata instead.

Though, it kind of makes me wonder...when it comes to the final film that's due out at the end of this year, how are they realistically going to present a formidable challenge for Naruto on a physical level when the series ended with him pretty much being god-like?

Good thing Naruto married Hinata instead of Sakura.
Nice to see Sai finally covering his belly.

Can't deny, a part of me still can't believe that the main manga is over.lol

I mean, I had been following the thing ever since Part 2 had started, which was like back when I was transitioning between High School and College (7 years ago, I think).

It feels like ind of anti-climactic when I think about it.lol

Anybody been following the continuation? Some weird developments...

[BLACKOUT]Seems like Sarada may not be Sakura's daughter, also seems like Sakura has truly become a housewife and a new mysterious group of villains are targeting Sasuke due to him having killed Itachi.[/BLACKOUT]

By this point, these new developments are kinda being fun, i feel like Naruto hasn't been very good since a bit after the start of Part II, and completely jumped the shark during the war. I now feel the same way as i do with Bleach, as both series have fallen so ridiculously that the weird twists and ideas in these latest arcs are being very entertaining.

So I'm reading up on the ending of Naruto and the beginning of the continuation and from what I've gathered...Naruto and Sasuke are ridiculously, unnecessarily strong, to the point where I actually can't believe that anything could ever go wrong or challenge them.

Yeah, i think Naruto as a franchise has reached a point where it just can't present any more obstacles that make sense. While i found Obito and Madara unnecessary as final villains, they in least had been foreshadowed for a long while, then Kaguya appeared a short time before the end and completely switched the foreshadowing of villains to present this overpowered god who might also be an alien. Unlike with Dragon Ball, i didn't think this twist made sense thematicaly. Now all the new villains the series will present are Kaguya's relatives, and i just can't seem to care much. Their bloodline just seemed to appear out of nowhere after various centuries and take the focus away from the villains that had already been extablished for thousands of chapters.

What i liked about Naruto for the first half and a good portion of Part II was how every nation in the world seemed to be in some kind of cold war and the series could get slightly political a la Game of Thrones. The Akatsuki were powerful, but it still seemed like the power scalings had a roof somewhere around Hokage level fighters. Now that is all over the place, and strategies no longer matter as much as pure power. Now every single new story seems to show that some Kaguya relative has decided to appear out of nowhere to cause problems. It feels like a completely different story now.
