How I Met Your Mother - Part 2

Robin dressed as Lara Croft was hot as hell.
I was going to mention this before she wore that outift, but why have they made Robin wear so much loose clothing in the past couple of seasons? I think it was answered before, but I haven't found her to be as hot as she was in the earlier seasons and I think its because of the loose clothing and shorter, curlier hair.

aww man...I missed this episode. :( :o mmm Robin as Lara Croft. hot hot hot. :o

That ending makes me go . I don't know in whether good way or bad way. However, I'm glad we know about the wedding though.

I'm just wondering when this show will be about Ted again.

The Robin\Barney ending is a real head scratcher for me. I don't know where they are going with that, but I felt like out of all of the crazy things we've seen Barney do over the years, that was the most unbelievable thing I've seen yet.

As for the Ted story, I felt like they dropped the ball by not having him have the revelation that he really wants a child. I feel like the way it was resolved and the reflection it caused Ted to have was not as strong or impactful as it was in years past. Although I did like the glimpse at the future with Ted and his daughter.

Cuz she was pregnant.

I think it's just a continuation of laying the road down for them getting married. Robin wasn't interested in getting into a relationship with Barney this episode, she just wanted to jump his bones.

And Barney at the end with Patrice isn't looking to have sex with her, she was being a friend to him when he needed it the most, and I think that's what Robin realized at the end, Barney needed a friend more than anything else and she wasn't there for him.

That's why I didn't think it was necessarily only bad because I'm actually curious where this leads too, but it's still a huge headscratcher.

And yes, I feel like the writing for Ted at least should have been stronger this season. This is the final season pretty much, and we've only had 1, 2 episodes focused on Ted at most.

Cuz she was pregnant.
I've heard about her being pregnant during the show before, but it was never as noticeable as it was for Alyson, who missed several episodes in the past due to her pregnancy.

Ahm that actually makes a lot of sense. It's just the idea of Barney saying he was on a date that makes me wonder why he would have such a sudden change of heart.

Yeah, I just hope they resolve the Barney/Robin stuff in a way that makes all of the build up worth it.

As for ted, I'm a little upset that they mentioned the building being complete and his class without using either of those to push specific stories for him earlier. But with the new meeting he had, I hope that means he'll start working on a new project that will give him something to do on his own. Everytime they show a glimpse at future Ted, he just seems so different and that's the Ted I want to see.

But "date" for Barney usually meant something he put up with so that he could sleep with a woman. Barney and Patrice were playing cards, and the way NPH delivered the line, it sounded like Barney was surprised he was on a date.

This was Barney looking beyond women as merely sex objects, a date with a woman he knew simply as a friend.

If this is the final season, CBS really ****ed them by starting any negotiation for one more. CBS should've just let it be, let them go about things as if it were indeed the end and not hang some huge question mark over the show and the audience.

I love how Lily is secretly into both Robin and Barney. It's funny to see that Braney could always go for the belt using her and Robin.

So is Ted not a lecturer anymore? He doesn't seem to have a job besides working on the odd building contract. How does he have so much time to babysit? It's almost as if he's unemployed and trying to find purpose in his life.

I wish they would just hurry up the Barney and Robin storyline. It really is dragging. I want them to get the focus back on Ted.

I think he said something about the semester being over or something, and with his building being completed, he had a little bit of free time until a meeting with someone else.

They finally mentioned his jobs, but I feel like they dropped the ball by not finding a way to incorporate them into an arc for him earlier in the season.

One can only hope the 2nd half of the year will be primarily focused on Ted...

Hope so too. It's annoying seeing him pretty much bumped to supporting character while this season has pretty much been the Barney show. Hell, even Marshall has even been a bigger focus this year than Ted!

i was watching season 3. the Barney/Robin already started 4 seasons ago. 4 seasons of Barney likes Robin and Robin likes Barney. and in 2012 its still not over.

in season 2 i thought that Ted and Robin will be Ross/Rachel but the twist is that its Barney/Robin. this is a Shyamalan twist

They should've made the decision before the season even started. :o

Maybe that's why they haven't progress Ted's story much, since they still don't know how much time they have to do it.

Even if they continue the show beyond this season the mother needs to be revealed in this season. Pushing that revelation back another season will be pushing it too far.

If there's another season, the Barney/Robin wedding should be this year's finale. If this is it, I hope they accelerate the endgame. Cut the will they, won't they **** with B/R and just get to it. Even adress it in the show. Have Narrator Ted say "blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda, lotta boring **** happened on the way to their wedding day aaaaaand... here we go." And then give Ted/Mother some time to shine, while also giving Barney and Robin some spotlight as they adjust to married life.

Well they did say the premiere was going to push the finale into motion regardless of whether or not there is going to be another season, but I really hope they just end it now, instead of prolonging the series an risk heading future into "the Office" territory.

This show has been a shadow of its former self this season, but there's still time to fix it.

"Family.... with benefits."
