Victoria again ugh. Does someone decide to try & hook her & Ted up again ?

Now what is Victoria going to do? Make Barney and Robin's wedding cake? I imagine it will probably be a flashback though. Maybe to the last time Ted was at Farhampton and Victoria sneaked away.

That could be it. The mother might not know about Victoria, and then buys a cake from her. That would make sense storytellingwise because Ted and Victoria met because Victoria made the cake and Claudia and Stuart's wedding.

Ashley Williams is great, and I loved the first go-around. They didn't handle her character well in the last season.

Awesome episode! I loved the parts with the mother and the ending was great. The next slap is coming!

Also, during all of Darren's parts after he confessed something this kept coming up in my head:

I know there's been debate on this with these episodes, but it's not just that. To me, the writing just feels more crisp, creative, and energetic in episodes where they move the plot forward.

I hated Darren. Not in a "He's the bad guy, I'm supposed to hate him" kind of way. In a "this actor isn't good and this idea is kinda dumb." kinda way. I liked the stuff that resulted from him. But didn't care for any bit where he was onscreen. And they didn't even show Ted punch him.

I'm glad the mother had a sizeable role in this episode and that it wasn't just a cameo. Overall a good episode.

The series finale will air March 31st

That's really early compared to most other network shows. But I guess that that means that this short winter break is going to be the only break for the season.

Starting January 13, it'll be a solid 10 weeks of the final episodes with a two parter on March 31.

It ended in late April or May earlier this year. Why do they cut it short? Not that I want them to drag it out too much, but I would like episodes solely devoted to the Ted/ Mother plot and not having fillers.

They aren't. Same amount of episodes as last year. First 2 episodes and last 2 episodes were/will be on the same night so that's 2 extra weeks there. They put a few gaps in between some episodes in January last year. Then did 2 episodes in March, April, May. There will technically be 6 episodes in March this year.

From their TV guide's facebook about the finale date, they are also going to debut a new show after that.

Yeah, it got a bit ridiculous last season. I remember several 2 week gaps.

This is a much better schedule than last season. I'm looking forward to 10 weeks straight of episodes.

I remember on probably several occaisions expecting a new episode and seeing a rerun.

I just looked at the schedule from last year and when it came back from break the show had three 2-week gaps and one that was a 3 week gap.

The scheduling for the show was more ridiculous than I remembered.

CBS pulls that **** all the time and it honestly shocks me that they're the number 1 network when they do crap like that.
