I dislike/disagree with the theory but that quote doesn't negate the theory.
theory said:Maybe the Mother is dead at the end!!!!
Alright, it's admissable but it's hardly concrete and usually flimsy. It was also a conspiracy type of theory. It didn't need a lot of strong evidence to support it. The scene wasn't taken out of context so much as it was interpeted differently to possibly mean something else. What we hear could have been interpeted that way. How he wanted those extra days sounds like she's no longer there. That's enough to give the impression she might be dead.
Of course it's all moot now with the comment that Ted will be quite happy at the end of the series.

The majority of cases are built upon circumstantial evidence. Non-lawyers shouldn't talk about the law.![]()
I still don't think it could be interpreted that way. The premise of the episode is Ted hitting rock bottom. He has realized his friends had moved on and left him behind. He is about to go to Robots vs. Wrestlers alone. He is sitting in a bar, talking to himself. He is at rock bottom. That is why he wants to meet her sooner. It has nothing to do with her being dead and the episode doesn't even imply it a little bit.
But I watch crime shows so I'm qualified. The majority of cases are built upon circumstantial evidence. Non-lawyers shouldn't talk about the law.![]()

If I could make one criticism about this season, its about how just about every episode seems to revolve showing us why Barney and Robin are meant for each other or make the perfect couple. There have been nice moments between the two and I understand that they are getting married, but something just seems wrong about almost every episode ends with one of them going to the other after dealing with some problem and saying how much they love the other.
It kinda makes me wonder if they're purposely setting this up to fail in the end.
1) Circumstantial evidence is very often admissible in a court of law provided it does not violate any of the rules of evidence for the given jurisdiction (lawyered).
2) There isn't any circumstantial evidence to support the theory. The entirety of the theory is based around the end of Time Travelers and even then, the scene has to be completely taken out of context to fit the whole "Mother is dead," theory.
How I Met Your Mother Exclusive: Ashley Williams Brings Victoria Back For One Last Encore
How I Met Your Mother‘s alumni parade marches on.
Ashley Williams, who has recurred throughout the CBS comedy’s run as Ted’s on-again, off-again love Victoria, is making one more visit before the series finale this spring, TVLine has learned exclusively.
Details are scarce, but sources confirm that Victoria will resurface in Season 9′s 19th episode, which is expected to shoot this month and air in April-ish.
Ted and Victoria briefly rekindled their romance last season, but she broke up with him when he refused to sever ties with Robin as she demanded.
Williams just wrapped a starring role in the Broadway adaptation of John Grisham’s A Time to Kill.
