How much do you really care about X3 being only 103 minutes?

How much do you care about the running time

  • I don't care at all, I know this movie will rock regardless how short.

  • I do perfer a longer running time and i'm a bit dissapointed but its not that big of a deal

  • This sucks, I want this to be the best and last as long as possible, but we will see.

  • This is horrible, its going to totally ruin it for me!

Technique I would consider more of a tool, used to express the artist's intention. Whether it be the written word, a picture, or what have you. Thought, emotion, and passion are far more important IMO.

They are the raw materials needed to fuel human imagination. It's like comparing a garage band to studio musicians. The recording act is definately going to have a more polished sound. But the live act will most likely have more integrity in their audio performance.

Any art, in its truest form, is about what the individual is trying to convey, not how they're trying to do it.

How the message is conveyed is very important to appreciating art, not just the message in question. I have strong passions and feelings just as any artist. But if I throw some paint on a canvas as an "expression" of my "true passions" that will not qualify as great art no matter how much I want it to be so. I dont have the technique to convey such messages or expressions.

arguing about art is like arguing about wether a sunrise or sunset is better, no one's right, no one's wrong.......

not always... thats like saying arguing about evolution is pointless becuase no one's right, no one's wrong...

Kinberg isn't helping his case by saying Batman Begins should have been shortened by friggin' 35 minutes. Every single scene in that movie was needed to propel the plot, to develop the characters, and to immerse the viewer in an epic story spanning several years. I fear X3's fate more than ever after his recent comments.

I agree, batman begins wouldnt have been as good as it is without any 35 minutes anyone would have cut form it. trust me:up: :O but it did indeed cover MANY many years.....and x3 has only a little catching up to do and a war.

Original post entirety lost! DAMN!!! Computers are the devil!

Kinberg would have cut 35 minutes from BB? That says it all. Not every movie has to be made for the ADD crowd. Of which Kinberg is officially a member.

Was it so hard to find actual talent to put on this, Fox? As opposed to the guy who wrote Mr. & Mrs. Smith as the pinnacle of his career?

IMO art and beauty are in the eye of the beholder......I was just at the Milwaukee Art Muesum (why milwaukee has one??? don't know, it'd make more money if it was a bar) and they had a neon exhibit of *********ing clowns............ is that art, not to me, I didn't like it, but other people did, and that's their opinion and I respect it, if they appreciate the *********ing clowns, that's great, I'm not going to debate them on that matter, (even though we all agreed that the pics of some guys testicles coevered with black ink, wasn't very artistic) lol...........

He also said there were too many villians by the end

ironic

WOW, last time I checked, there was 3 villans....... you had scarecrow, Falcone, and Ra/Ducard........ X-men has how many????

i found it...

*I enjoyed Batman Begins, and I agree that Nolan is a brilliant filmmaker, but I was bored by the third act. I loved the first 45 minutes, but I thought it lost steam with too many villains in the finale. I can easily imagine BB with 35 minutes less, and I don’t think the movie would have suffered. In fact, I think it may have been better

someone needs to help that guy get his foot out of his mouth..... BB is easly one, if not the greatest SH film, IMO

Oh my...

Kinberg, please... I've mad enough about this time-running catastrophe and now you say such a... meh.

Yeah it's funny because technically BB only had 2 villians during the finale. Falcone was pretty much out of the picture by the time the climax arrived. X3 will have Magneto, Dark Phoenix, Juggernaut, Pyro, Callisto, Arclight, Quills, and Multiple Man.

i agree.

Obviously he is entitled to his opinion , but i find a little odd that he says that in the midst of the recent devellopement..

anyways , personnaly it doesn't reassure me at all...

just because the film was good doesnt mean it was perfect... he said he liked the movie...give it a rest

No it wasn't perfect. But saying it would have been better if they had shaved off 35 mins? Do you know how crazy that sounds? That's a lot of time and it would have left BB at around 1 hr and 40 mins...which would have been waaaayy too short for the complex story they were telling.

Well if you get specific there were a ton. Ra's, Scarecrow, Falcone, The League of Shadows, Falcone's thugs, Zsasz, escaped Arkham patients, Joe Chill, Earle, The corrupt judges, the prisoners Bruce fights in th beginning, Flask, and technically the Joker.

Well...Kinberg was only referring to the finale.

pages 20-23 were an excellent read... 'Art, objectivity, and the artist.'

I love when concepts get discussed around here.

Good job

The movie could have been tightened up a bit. But 35min? Thats a lot.
