The Dark Knight How should be the Batmobile for The Dark Knight?

Well one thing's for sure with the tumbler. It made it a lot easier to believe as a batmobile and not just a souped up machine. It 's realistic.
Ya, and Batman isn't afraid to scratch it up. He was all over the place in BB, I loved it. Theres no way the designs of the other batmobiles could take the beatings the tumbler went through in Begins.

I wonder if the Batmobile had more electronic devices than the Tumbler? Both might have had the same amount.

That's really cool .

If they're going to change the design, I'd say at least keep the small front wheel/big back wheel combination just for the sake of continuity. Then you can change around the appearance of the top to however, like the above depicts.

I really didn't see any flaws with the design of the Tumbler in BB. It worked quite well for what Batman needed it to do.

It's more of an aesthetic issue. I think we're all in agreement that the power behind the Tumbler kicked ass.

I think the Batmobile might have had more capabilities than the Tumbler. Somewhere along the line, Batman will have another vehicle. A vehicle that can survive the harsh conditions that the vehicle will be put through on his missions.

How should it be?? It should be left alone!

burtons batmobile took ridiculous amounts of bullets without a scratch, and a bomb went off right beside it with no ill effects

One thing I really loved about Burton's Batmobiles was that it had some really cool, wierd-ass but imaginative tricks up it's sleeve. I hope the Tumbler gets similiar smart and unique weaponry in The Dark Knight.

burton's batmobile is an unrealistic fantasy flashy but sexy lookin car that would never work in real life...

the tumbler is a badass machine thats realistic, believable and can actualy do all the stunts in the movie...

keep the tumbler the same!!

I have a friend who spoke with some people at a convention who worked on BB, they said that in TDK, the tumbler will remain the same, except that the air foils will be like bat wings, Just the air foils(flaps).
Here is my tumbler:

 You have your own . . . . . . I want a ride when you're done.

If I was gonig to change it I'd leave the structure essentially the same and just work on the skin. Maybe make it something like Sage's pic.

Wow. That looks straight out of Minority Report

I'm not sure if they should keep the Tumbler. I really dig the car ofcourse, there's nothing wrong with it. But on the other hand it would be nice to see some variety on batsy's vehicles. Just a sleeker batmobile that draws less attention. The Tumbler isn't really inconspicuous you know...

What're you talking about? Batman's cars have always drawed attention, whether it be for their sleek and sexy curves or their "holy ****!" factor. Besides, keeping the Tumbler is good for continuity. Continuity is good.

yeah I know. But the Tumbler is also very noisy. (Like Ozzy Osbourne screaming in your ears.)

Ozzy being both noisy and annoying at the same time.

I think with the Tumbler's cloaking devise it also seems to be less noisy when its in that mode.

Whether it's a stylish looking car or a military prototype, the Batmobile will draw attention, no matter what.

But if you're going to attract attention regardless, what's the difference?

Regardless of what? Batman was all about stealth last I checked. :o

Last I checked, the Tumbler had an stealth mode.

That's how he practically disappeared in the middle of the police chase on the highway.

Last I checked, he used it about 5 minutes after he was already being chased.

Point of stealth is to not be detected in the first place. :p

Last I checked, he used it when he needed to chill out for a bit.

Thing is, he NEEDED to hurry to the batcave....which meant he needed to make noise along the way.

But, we saw that the Tumbler has a stealth mode. It disappeared in the middle of the chase on the highway. That means it could sneak around Gotham, when nobody is even looking for it.

I've heard that argument plenty of times, no need to repeat it. In reality, we all know that only happened because we needed a car chase, nothing more.

And yeah, it can probably sneak through the highways, when there's only lightposts every 50 feet or so. But in Gotham City? Nah, no way it can just casually go through w/o anyone noticing. It's a city, so it's very lit up and crowded.

Yeah, they were streetlights on every corner and every five feet on the highway. I was surprised they couldn't track him to the Batcave. Just follow the well lit-up carnage on the road.

J/K.

Well, some of it. :p

Not really. Gotham seemed like a dark enough city, and with the crime going on....I'd imagine that at night, not many crowd would be out. And it being in black seemed to blend in nice with Gotham.

And, yeah....the reason there was achase was b/c we needed a chase for the film. The reason there was the train finale, was b/c we needed a fight at the end. The reason there was a story was b/c we needed a film. LOL....I mean, that's all obvious. But, in terms of the story....and not filming it....in the context of the story, he needed to hurry.

The Tumbler has a stealth mode. We know that, so we know how and why he cand sneak around in it.

But, we don't know if he always jets around in the thing either. He might use it some nights, might not. Since he can glide too, he's not just stuck to driving around.
