The Dark Knight How should be the Batmobile for The Dark Knight?

I wasn't arguing that point. In fact all you did was validate me, cause I did say Nolan kept the basic "color tones" in tact. Which is true.

I havent validated you completely. Just the fact that bronze is related to yellow lol Its a world of difference for one working on a film such as Begins. Every little adds up.

lol, ok ok, fair enough.

Shall we argue about something else tomorrow? Same time? :p

there will be no blood, for it is just a movie. lol

I can point out many things in Burtons films that would need filtering for Nolans next step to realism. Seems to be what im good for ;)

Btw Nolan didnt forget SWAT in this one lol :D

So what do you fellas think about the THE BATMAN batmobile that I posted?

Could work.. id rip the wings off personally ;) And no blue... looks too much like schumacher... jet black.

yeah minus the blue of course but the silver lining by the fender is really good though. You should see it in motion in the cartoon.

I used to watch The animated series on FOX..once it left there.. blah lol

:) I was just thinking the same ****! As much as I want to say something, I think I'll just let this one play out as it is. Let the bets begin?

I'm just saying some of you guys need to lay off on this reality BS. You surround the fantasy elements with realistic properties. It's not the other way around.

That's an opinion, not fact. I see it the other way around, because basing something in fantasy and sprinkling it with reality just doesn't make any sense.

I feel it's far more effective to be 'grounded in reality and logic', and then have it subtedley surrounded by elements of fantasy.

This guys dressing in a rubber bat suit is ridiculus enough, but nolan managed to make it all look credible, which is hard to do on film. Most of us comic fans can suspend disbelief, but the main audience needs to take it seriously. He also pulled off the tumbler with flying colours-it was just badass. Adding 'fins', which serve ZERO purpose, is just pointless and indulgent.

but now, when we are about to see fantastical, slightly crazier villains than Ra's and Dr.Crane(Joker, Two face specifically), then it makes a sharp contrast and this is important to me. I think this series would go down the shi**er if Nolan were to suddenley let loose on certain elements.

Yes exactly. While many may feel batsuit is ridiculous there are forms of illusion and theatricality in real life that do very strange things in order to distract you from something. David Blaine sure looks weird propped uptop that 30 or so foot pillar for several days a few years back, but it worked.

That reminded me of The batman pose uptop the buildings in Begins right after he nabs falcone.

Isn't this what X-Men did? And weren't those (excluding X3) praised by both audiences and critics? And weren't those same people fine with the fact that it IS fantasy surrounded by reality?

And you're right, Nolan did do the character justice, and handled the realism just fine. It's just that to me, the fans are taking it to another level. Frankly, I don't get it. Before BB hit, there was nowhere this much discussion on what should be adapted, simply because it might not be "real" enough for the audience. Again. I point to the X-Men films. Nobody complained.

Ive been a fan of gritty scifi/fantasy films since i can remember. Jim Cameron is really the king of this.

Actually x men has a similar approach to Batman Begins but not completely. Singers not about dark alleys etc, but he does use the "real" style in the sense of this superpower gene has an inner logic and the rest of the world is very real. Check the dvds. The guy thinks like me lol Thats how I know flicks id love.

Ok then. So I don't really see what's wrong in what I said, considering X1, X2, and BB used it accordingly.

I still think the Tumbler could use a hood...

Because the plots are totally different.

Just like Alien: Resurrection. I didnt even bother watching that flick. The concept is just lame for that universe. That director fell for the same thing many do... lack of instinct ;)

realistically batman would never leave those tires so exposed

But...but it won't be able to jump on rooftops anymore!!

The tires are bulletproof.

Does that mean that if the car takes a long fall, the tires will be well-intact?

Serious question.

They should keep the Tumbler and maybe add a few upgrades. If they drastically changed the Batmobile than that would be dumb. Nolan is taking a realistic approach here and you cannot expect Batman to have all his gadgets, transportation, and batcave change that much after the first film.
