The Dark Knight How should be the Batmobile for The Dark Knight?

The Schumacher era Batmobile sucked ass. I hated that huge fin on the back of the thing. Burton's Batmobile was awesome indeed. As for the Tumbler well that rocked. I say keep it for The Dark Knight and I'll be all for a few modifications.

The Tumbler fits in Nolan's realistic vision of Batman. It just fits; there's no need to change it.

maybe they will have the batwing so fans have something else to talk about.

The Tumbler was very realistic and should stay that way.
Maybe it should be modified, but thats about it.

I really dont want a Batboat either.

This statement makes us seem so sad.

I guess the Tumbler will see some nice modifications. I'm not sure about a Batwing.....Don't think Nolan would go that route.

I know, Batman can just run from the cave to his destination! EXCITING!

Hence the part where I wrote:

If he needs a car it should be one that fits in with the regular cars on the street to "blend in with the shadows" as it were. If needed it could change in appearence to "strike fear into the hearts of villians."

I'm well aware this is a summer film, so of course you need some action beats. I just would've preferred if Batman himself was the one trying to secretly run away, and have the cops find him. Rather than Batman basically calling the cops towards him.

I'm with you on this one. The thing is, even though this is a summer film, it didn't need a car chase. There are plenty of other ways to have action and fun without senseless and out of character car chases. If things are well done, the audience will appreciate them. It's up to the film maker to do things well and keep the characters in character. A smash up car chase like in BB was out of character.

Year 1 + Poisoned Rachel=Panicked Batman. The cop was in his way and he didn't have time to spare so he tried to drive past him without killing anyone (Hence why he didn't monster truck squash the damn thing and just drove kind of on the side of it).

And about stealth mode. It just keeps him off of radars. All he did on the highway was turn off his lights and slowed down. He put on stealth mode so he couldn't be found on police radars. The car doesn't have a cloaking device.

Yes, that's how it is in the story. But as with any story, you can change any portion of it to however you please. You can put a spin on it if you want, but it was most likely just put there to show off how powerful the Tumbler really was. Nothing more.

I'd rather they keep the Tumber just to save money.

No Tumbler core.. No new design... I WANT THE TUMBLER, I don't want a batised batmobile just to please fans... Then, why the hell should Bats change his car!?

I LOVE THE TUMBLER... :mad::up::up::up:

The car freaking Roared! - Do you have any idea how kicka*s that was in a THX theather? I could feel it in my freakin chest. There is no need to change the car.

Just because the design would be changed, doesn't mean the "roar" would have to go as well. It's all on the inside after all.

:o  BLAHUMBUG!!!:o :down

Complain all you want. Chances are something will be changed. :D

when i first heard about the tumbler it seemed like a terrible idea. i was so upset.
but once i saw it in action... i had to change my undies.
AS IS BABY! no change for you!

TUMBLER OR DEATH!

the mere awesominess of the tumbler sanctified the sequel!

I love the Tumbler, but if they felt they had to change anyting I could see them enclosing the front wheels and giving this thing a nose, also maybe accenting the tail "wing" a bit with somekind of antena feature to pick up radio signals form the police. Thats about all I see happening, if they feel they need to mess with it??

I´m perfectly fine with the tumbler, maybe just a slight design change and a couple new gadgets - actually, according to the DVD, it has weapons that weren´t used in the movie, like shooting foam.
