The Amazing Spider-Man 2 How should the Goblin look???

Yes, Kafka was suppose to be him. That's why I think Harry has whitish reddish hair. He's suppose to be Proto-Goblin and Norman will be the real Green Goblin.

However, I'm worried that Norman might not be the one to kill Gwen. :(

Thats what I have been thinking.

I could see it adapted or more of an homage with an aerodynamic helmet, but I can't say I've seen a version of the hat that works imo.

i was hoping someone would do that :woot:

Yeah Irrfan Khan said he didn't wanna do anything like that so they wouldn't have made him Proto goblin

I think Harry will be the one to kill Gwen but Norman will have something to do with it.

Cut off the tail and the long bits at the side and front and maybe I could live with it. Still not my preferred choice though.

Nice piece of art though, but I just don't think it would look great on screen. The Goblin face there could though I imagine (with a couple of minor tweaks).

Working fine for me. Withholding judgment until I actually see something.

Hows that reboot working for youall?
Good. I like all three of the Raimi films, yes all three - shock horror, but that ship has sailed. TASM was quite good and this one looks better.

Indeed to me this feels like something special even by the horrible quiality of the cam record trailer its beautiful and it'll look soo much better in hd

Was a bit skeptical on the movie after hearing about Harry/Goblin, but the trailer looks really good. I may not be 100% behind some ideas, but overall I'm optimistic for the movie.

Which I think is the point. I doubt this is 'The Green Goblin', but a precursor to Norman.

If this Precursor-to-Norman Goblin does kill Gwen Stacy in this film (as so many folks around here are predicting), then they might as well let Norman Osborn die on his death bed and forget about making him the Goblin in this series. They will have stripped the Norman Osborn character of one of his most crucial interactions with Spider-man...one of the most famous (or infamous) moments in the history of comic books.

The outcome might appear to be the same either way -- Gwen dies, Peter is unsure whether or not he accidentally caused her death -- but so much gravitas will be lost if it isn't Norman (the TRUE Green Goblin) who physically makes it happen. If Harry does kill Gwen, and Norman becomes the Goblin afterwards, what could he do that would be worse or more memorable than what Harry did?

It's going good so far. It's amazing to think how far we've come since we got wind of SM4 being in the works, several years ago.

Pretty crazy, that was almost 4 years ago in another month.

New theory! The Goblin isn't Harry, but actually a genetically manipulated clone of Peter, created by Miles Warren.

clone saga would be an extreme departure from the raimi movies. it's harry...hopefully as the hobgoblin like in ultimate.

I still think there's gonna be some sort of twist with the Goblin at the end of this movie.

Hey guys, I registered to contribute to this forum.

I couldn't help but notice how this "goblin" is almost IDENTICAL to how Andrew looks. I came up with a theory, and I'm going to explain it in a spoiler for you guys to judge.

So you guys remember how in TASM, there was this one shot that lingered at Peter's bloody fingerprints on the ground? I'm assuming that OsCorp managed to find it and extract Peter's DNA from it and used it to create a prototype goblin serum from it. I bet Norman manipulated Harry to use this serum to become a Proto-Goblin and it gave him superhuman strength, and reflexes (minus all of the spider specific abilities) with a side effect of changing his appearance to Peter's. If not for the bloody fingerprint, it is entirely possible that they managed to get some of it from Peter while he was visiting OsCorp with Harry.

Good points. If I wrote the movie, I’d have Goblin Jr be a AYM ‘angry young man’ who causes some mischief and maybe doesn’t get along with Gwen. Norman stomps in during movie 3, killing Gwen. Showing the father is one notch higher than the son in terms of cruelty and conviction.
