Anime hair? Yikes.

Who would have thought that after three variations on the character in five movies, that the sky-surfing James Franco "New Goblin" would look the best still? Go figure.

lol at the troll comparisons. i guess i can see it.

they are literally trolling us

I'd love to see an FF film modelled after the traditional Jack Kirby visuals, featuring the High Evolutionary and the Celestials, etc... I take it you're a big fan of "Earth X" (great book)?

Charm and Magic are great terms for describing the original Marvel Universe. It's fate and chance smiling upon the underdog (or calling them to action at least). It seems that a lot of that is lost in the TASM series :csad:

Ι haven't read all the issues of Earth X, but yeah its a great example of Marvel at its best. Personally, I am interested in the publishing era of the 60s and 80s. I don't know maybe that's because it was my first introduction to the Marvel comics that I first read when I was a kid. I think the comics of those days had the perfect mix of story and imagination, than the latter ones of the 90s and 00s.

They will keep the hair, Webb done it for a reason whether its because Webb didn't feel Harry would go round looking for a sock hat or whether it's because he plans of given Norman a different design as goblin and obviously they have to stand out differently

How I see it is he could very well be Proto goblin, if Norman comes back in the next film and is alive and well I can imagine he wouldn't be transformed the same way Harry was, they will want to give chris cooper a chance to play Norman as a character and not just be green goblin, but obviously still being green goblin, that's my theory

-Shouldn't the Goblin have some kind of eye glasses to protect his eyes when he is flying?

-Does he have a retractable mask?

-Why does Proto Goblin get in this franchise before Hobgoblin?

Infact remember who everyone thought was gonna be Proto goblin for a while before he basically said he wouldn't wanna do that role

So, I'm breaking down the trailer and I am becoming a little more aware of what MIGHT be going on. Him having weird hair, questions as to IF he's green skinned or not: My theory is that Harry is, in fact, transforming.

If you look to your right first, his right ear looks like it's finally beginning to become to a point; elf like ears. Far more noticeably pointed than the one on his left. In this photo as well, his hair either contains a ludicrous amount of hair spray, OR... since it's beginning to become a little whispy there's a chance his thinning/balding.

Look how tighter his skin his becoming and the darker discoloration bags around his eyes, the more significant lines around his face and eyes and nose. The texture of his skin would seem to be rather different than it was when he was just Harry.

NOW, given that the room is both greenish blue, I do believe that both of these shots are in the same scene, same room, same lightning; that could be the reason why he really looks green, but even after that... there are parts of his face that do look like he are turning green, or some other strange color.

Trust Harry to take drugs like always, but I think we're going to get a little more than what we see. I think he's going to become something similar to the Ultimate Goblin, if what I think turns out being correct.

With the whole Bluetooth in the ears and the suit itself, it seems they just took the old concept art from the Raimi films, and used it in this. Though instead of the hair they could've added a helmet and painted it green or purple.

It's like they've slicked back his hair to create the pointy allusion of the hood but it's not long enough and it looks stupid.

Just give him a hood!

Anime hair? Yikes.
At least he's not Hulk Goblin

As a pro-Franco-Goblin, I give this many 's and :applaud's

We'll get a reversal of the goblin saga from the Raimi films. Norman will become the goblin to try and avenge Harry.

Yeah. It looks like they meet for the first time at Oscorp, and I don't see the point in keeping him in as the Sorta-Goblin without them being friends first.

He looks much more better with desaturated skin like in the poster. Hope the FX department will fix that in the next 5 months.

I hope you're right!
I was hating on the look pretty badly yesterday, but I'm trying to convince myself that there's still alot of change to be seen.
The GG that we're seeing in the trailer isn't the green goblin fully taken shape.
Hell,even his suit is unfinished.
I have a feeling(Could just be misplaced hope...) that we'll see something better later in the film or in the next movie.

Entirely possible that I'm just setting myself up for extreme disappointment though.:funny:

I agree with most of this, especially their goal for differentiation.

i must be missing it but i can't see how the hair resembles the hood at all

I think the suit not being finished makes me feel much more confident that Harry is a version of Proto-Goblin or at the very least has not become the Green Goblin yet. I am still crossing my fingers that GG is Norman eventually.

People keep saying 5-6 months when really we have what's left of December, Jan, Feb, Mar, and maybe half of April but the movie is out then in foreign countries. So really about less than 4 months?

The reason why Harry has no mask and his face have patches of mutations and has yellow spiky hair is because,Harry is wearing a mask.Harry turned into a full blown out Goblin and he wears a latex human looking mask to hide his mutation.

he will take it off during the battle and we will see a real Goblin.

As long as Harry's face doesn't look too cgi'd (as it kinda does in the trailer) I'm actually ok with this look... be it Proto or Green Goblin

Ah I don't know about that.
