Just joined to talk about the new trailer, and my good god!

The Spidey suit is mint, the Rhino looks pretty awesome, and Electro looks like a beast.

But what the hell is that? Proto-Goblin, sure, but not the Green Goblin.

Looks like a 17 year old, with 80's rocker hair, in a half assed Halo 3 replica suit that caught a bad case of rashes.

Spot on. The poster looked acceptable, but I'm not sure what exactly they were thinking as far as this mess goes. lol.

btw where ever did you find inspiration for your name? :o

Welcome! Though I feel you will eventually regret your username.

Sony's in-house special effects company is terrible. They have some serious work to do because some of these shots are straight up laughable.

Those shots of Spidey vs "Goblin" look like they were ripped from a CG cutscene in a video game.

Some do look pretty whack, especially when screen-shotted (like these Goblin pics). Others look solid.

I wouldn't worry. With 5 months to go, we can expect all of the effects to be polished and greatly improved from what we're seeing now. This is t the first time we've seen some crappy CGI shots in a trailer that went on to look great.

whats with the skin disease its not that he just got beaten up ..he seems mutating...maybe he transforms even more during the film, maybe towards the end of the film

After watching the trailer a few times more, I least can say I'll like 2/3 of the villains and the direction of the story, but it's going to take A LOT to like the Goblin. I'm not saying Dane DeHaan won't act the **** out of Harry Osborn but hell... I would've been fine with Green Goblin being like Joker, just Norman or Harry putting on a mask or makeup to look Goblin-esque. I don't mind the glider but the suit and the Bluetooths in the ears is a bit hard to digest.

I'm just hoping Norman will LOOK and BE Green Goblin; the real Green Goblin but it looks like that final battle in the film will involve Harry and Spider-Man in a clock tower and Gwen going to die. So much for the iconic 'throw her off a bridge' scene. :csad::dry::wall:

It's been noted there may yet be work to be done on them. Who knows though. I'm truly not defending the scene. I think there are both good and bad decisions happening here.

I wonder if Harry's skin will even be green at all. What I don't understand is that they make him grow "claws" and sharp teeth, and even according to the storyboards his rib cage protrudes out. No green skin. If anything it's patches of green skin, almost like he has a skin disease.

Films don't have the luxury that an ongoing comic book series has. Sometimes they have to take shortcuts. Which is fine with me, as I keep saying, these are adaptations. If I want something really in-depth and true to how it "originally" was, I'll read the comics.

That's awesome. Nice find/comparison. I wonder if thy did this shot on purpose.

It was on purpose, but it has nothing to do with that panel. Basic compositional technique.

Doubtful. If it wasn't representative of the final product, then it shouldn't be shown in a trailer to sell the movie.

I wonder if Norman could possibly have been the Green Goblin before he fell ill? Maybe it could turn out he's ill because of the Goblin serum and the incomplete armour Harry finds is actually his. Probably unlikely, but just thought I'd put that out there.

Interesting idea.

Is it true though the reason Harry becomes Green Goblin is to get Peter's blood to keep his father alive because it's so special? If the Venom suit is locked away and if they go the Ultimate route where it is protoplasmic dip nicknamed “The Suit”, designed as a cure for cancer, why doesn't Harry just go after the Suit or does he need Peter to find it or thinks Peter knows where it is located because of his father? After all, Harry seems to be substituting for Ultimate Eddie Brock (good friends who have lost touch of one another and then get back together but then secrets are found out about the other.)

^I. Am. Marc. Webb.:o

a digital hat :woot:...well maybe we hear from alot of reshoots, who knows
His face looks like a digital graphic anyway. I think that it's to terrible of a reaction for them not to revisit it and see that they dropped the ball.

Honestly, I'm not sure myself about those points. I have my doubts about the Venom suit though.

Cocknocker wants his hair back.
