The Amazing Spider-Man How Will The Webs Look?

like i said earlier, it should have the rope-like texture. that friggin wire they used in the earlier films looked like you could easily walk away or snap from it

to be fair, i think their intention was to play off the whole "proportionate strength" of high tensile steel saying regarding the webbing...whether it's portrayed accurately in terms of that proportion or not, that's probably where the suspension of disbelief comes in...

When it comes to things like this, they should never push the realism. Even thou the Raimi web was thin and as Knight Rise said it "looked like you could easily walk away or snap from it " in the end, why would it have to be realistic? And if that's the case, then the little hairs on his fingers he uses to climb the walls should be much bigger wouldn't they? You know, because there's no way those little hairs can carry him, especially when the gloves of the costume covers them

It's Spiderman, don't bother with unnecessary realism

Don't really care. I guess it could be thicker. But it's a small detail
I'd love to see the way Todd Mcfarlane drew them, kind of like 4, 5 strands of thin wire, with knots in them.

Kinda like this:

What the hell is Spider-Man doing there? Is he trying to see if it is possible?

I think it's possible we could get McFarlane webs. Look at a close-up of the spinnerets on the web-shooters. One center hole and then surrounding holes around the perimeter. It's just a theory.

I wouldn't mind seeing them vary in size, like thicker webs to ensnare people, come to think of it, I don't think Spidey ever once completely ensnared anyone in webs in all 3 movies.

I would expect it to look somewhat different, if for no other reason than different artists will be crafting it. Nobody wants to just repeat what some other artist has already done, and it's not like they're going to pull out the notes from Raimi's team and say "Yeah, let's just do that."

You're assuming it's for realism. It could just be a design they liked.

I don't quite understand what you mean, and I don't know if you understood what I meant, maybe this explanation will help:

Knight Rise said that it's not realistic how the Raimis thin weak looking Web design can carry Spiderman's weight without snaping, and I said that explaining that or changing the design just because of that would be just unnecessary realism

I thought you were jumping on that and assuming it was. If you weren't then I apologise.

He didn't. I've noticed this since the first movie. He never 'webs up' anyone in the way he was always supposed to. He just shoots one line at someone, then pulls it and the line mysteriously disappears.

wait....so you're upset that Spider-Man's webs looked like spider webs?

all I can think about is this:

Fixed that for you.

I think he meant that he wants the webs on the suit to have more of a texture like this:

Something like that would have been an interesting idea. I like it, although it looks like a twizzler.

EDIT: wait I thought he was talking about the costume webs. wtf. My apologies.

when did i ever say i was upset?

and why would you take one of the same elements from something already used? thanks for the creativity

thicker webs :D thats all it has to be, a little bit thicker, and stickier or "gooier" if that makes sense. anything to make the criminals get "lost" in it, or get disgusted so they have t go "AGH!! what is this crap?"
