The Amazing Spider-Man How Will The Webs Look?

when did i ever say i was upset?

and why would you take one of the same elements from something already used? thanks for the creativity
Firstly, my post was more in jest. Second, how you worded your post seemed to have a less than positive opinion on the Raimi webs (which is neither here nor there; just why I took it as a complaint).

I get your point about them trying something different (and wasn't saying the reboot shouldn't try a new look - especially since we're dealing with mechs this time around). I was just amused by what seemed like a complaint about the accuracy of spidey's webbing when compared to real webs. No aggression meant! :)

The Webs never looked realistic in the comics, thats why they should just stick with that. Real spider webs are just way too thin to be realistically able to swing off of. Thats why i think the modern Spider-Man web is more of a rope-like texture

well bare in mind that spider silk is incredibly strong - proportionally they are like steel cables on suspension bridges, so considering Spidey's webs are larger/thicker than a real spider's webs, their strength is proportionally greater (look at the train sequence in Sm2 - the buildings break before the web does).

And the reason the comic webs look like they do is due to Todd Macfarlane's desire to draw the webs more dramatically. There isn't a lot you can do with a drawing when they're just lines.

Personally, I like the look of Spidey's webs from the original flicks and the fact that their seemingly fragility is out done by their actual strength is cool and realistic.

But since we aren't going with organics, it would make sense that Spidey's webs this time around would look more synthetic and I could dig the "spaghetti" look.

Haven't seen anyone do this yet.

Just a quick MS paint job.

I love MacFarlane's thick rope design. Something like that.

^^ Yeah, it was cool, though, I don't really think we need it to be in the films. Like I said, the web's in Riami's films were fine.

Comics have the advantage of being still images. Its a very boring picture if the webbing was a strand or wire. In the movie verse though...............are you really every going to have the time to see detain of the web shooting from his wrist? Outside of slow mo he shoots his load fast. Little touches are nice but a wire is much easier to set up and film then making a custom design. I have honestly never thought much of the design of spidermans web in Raimis movie because guy with 4 mechanical arms trumps the web leaving spidermans wrists. Also you guys chose images too far away. You can see when Peter first swings that the webbing is similar to troy parkers post. We dont see that detail because the webbing is never super close to the camera.
