The Dark Knight Rises How Would You Continue the Story from TDKR? (Spoilers)

Don't you think that he'll now have some more time, less pressure etc to work his next projects out?

I can't believe how cool the man stayed under all that hard work.

Because the man has the experience behind him Nolan is one of the best directors in Hollywood. I can't wait what he does next.

As for the topic I like to see Arkhamverse type of approach. Nolan did what fans wanted bring back BATMAN.

Okay, so Bruce gets to go away with Selina....but if Gotham ever needed him again, the signal is restored, Bruce can return as Batman, and "Robin" keeps an eye on things but when Bruce returns, he has Robin, Alfred, and Selina at his side. That's my take on it, anyway.

The ending was vague enough that something like that COULD happen.

Hence why I think the door is open to continue this Bruce's story.

Hopefully the TDKR box office will push Warners towards that.

The public will want more, and pay through the nose for it.

I think a talented director could easily continue where Nolan left off. TDKR wasn't perfect.

There's room for improvement.

A next Batman-flick will not be perfect either, no movie is, some come close, but still.

Because they'll screw it up or? :hehe:

It would just be obvious to some people who Batman is if Blake took over. Seriously, if Gordon is any type of cop, he would know immediately... Not to mention, Blake doesnt have the funds, or training.

And because they would screw it up lol

His name is Robin.

He puts on a new suit and now he is Dick The boy wonder.

I know that.

But my point is there's room for the right creative team to study what Chris did and carry the torch forward.

Ultimately, it could be really profitable for Warners. Audiences love this iteration of Batman. They are emotionally invested in these characters.

And that ending really left the door open to possibilities.

Probably this on both accounts.

But there's always Michael Bay. :hehe:

Nah leave The trilogy as a trilogy. New Batman new story and new vision.

No Nolan but I say Batman Beyond is Blake being an old man instead of Bruce.

TDKR should be a blessing to a new director. He doesn't have to deal with Bruce Wayne anymore even if he's using Bruce Wayne as Batman. Full on Batman all the time.

Then we have Blake helping out and meeting Gordans daughter while Gothem gets rebuilt.

I know some people are down on the Robin character but I like Batman needing Bathelp and would hope its handled like the Animated series.

Honestly, i was kind of let down by Rises, but if they decided to come back to do another one, I'd like to see an Azrael type storyline where Blake starts to go over the edge as Batman and forces Bruce to come back to reclaim the mantle.

Bruce still has more lessons to learn.

He said "anyone can be Batman."

But that's wrong. He should learn that only he (Bruce Wayne) can be Batman and it's something he can't run away from.

Blake becoming Red Hood would really show that. Blake is somewhat tainted already anyway. He killed two men. The seed is planted.

For some reason, I just doubt Nolan would have that type of ending with absolute zero chance of ever coming back to the franchise.

That ending felt more like a Warner Bros decision to keep things going...

Than a Nolan one.

I'm happy with Nolan parting with Batman now. He has run his course.

Another talented director could easily continue Bruce's journey from here.

As Ras Al Ghul said - "The world is to small for someone like Bruce Wayne to disappear."

I wouldn't continue it,It ended the trilogy perfectly and as much as I love the film&trilogy..I can't wait for the reboot!!

I don't care if TDKR takes minor elements from No Man's Land, just do an adaptation of it. It's a story with tons of potential. Neill Blomkamp ftw

It's over and it's now someone else's turn.
Nolan won't be back, he's done and so is Bale.
No Director in his right mind would try and pick this up story from where it left off.
Its a whole new deal no matter what so it's fruitless to speculate on something that will never happen.

WB confirmed months ago that there rebooting after this film and Christopher Nolan will only return as a producer,WB is also going ahead with a JLA movie without Nolan

No point in speculating/asking how someone would do it nor even hoping,The trilogy has ended as that and so no more Nolan's characters&story

Your news is old.

Nolan dropped out of the Batman reboot. He said he's done completely with Batman.

"He also said he [does] not intend to get involved with any future solo Batman films when distributor Warner Bros., which owns DC Comics, decides the time is right to launch a new take on the masked vigilante."

Which means Warner Bros is changing their plan. They have no reason to 'not' continue this version anymore.... since Nolan isn't around to stop them.

No real specific need for a reboot. They *could* continue this.

I know I'll quite likely be destroyed for saying this, but I'd be very curious to see where John Blake's story goes from here.

The way TDKR ended I'd like to see more sequels as long as they're in the hands of good writers and directors who take it all seriously. I definitely don't think another sequel is an impossibility after this.

why would they continue a made up character to pose as a new batman? Its a poison chalice.

Reboot, im ready for batman to go back to the fantasy world.
