The Dark Knight Rises How Would You Continue the Story from TDKR? (Spoilers)

They should do to Batman what they did with Smallville. Show Bruces 7 years of traveling and training with the League of Shadows. Only make it an HBO series instead of CW. I think there is a lot of potential there.

I would continue it with Bruce Wayne not a part of the Story anymore, and Robin Blake becoming the new Batman. Joseph Gordon Levitt is a great actor and a total badass, and he can definitely pull off Batman. New villains from Batman's Rogues Gallery, and a new Batman. Could be great.
you have to admit the movie seem to point right down that path. so it would not be out of line to think that may be where they would go with the storyline.

They could make it a Batman Beyond storyline and have Bruce be the mentor figure to Blake's Batman.

I'd swap name Robin with Terry Mcginnis, then return an older Bruce to town and witness Terry having a hard time being Batman so he can tutor him to perfection. Finally add Blight as a villain.

It isn't very realistic for a young rookie-ish type of cop to become Batman without Bruce training him, which he won't because he left Gotham to live his own life. It was different when Dick Grayson took over as Batman in the comics because he had the skills of both Nightwing and Batman. This guy? He'd probably get himself killed in a few days

After the credits there should be a secret scene..

John Blake now wearing the Batman costume appears in the middle of a heist.
"Im Batman!"
Then one of the thugs shoot him to death...

If there had to be a continuation of this series. The most I would want would be more Gotham Knight films but instead of short films they'd be singular 70 minute stories with Batman working very stealthily with Gordon inbetween The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises before the Dent Act takes full effect and taking down some villains unseen in the film series.

Hey hey hey! How about Blake becoming a very aggressive and bloodthirsty Batman and design his own armor and batling guns slaying criminals?! What if Bruce returns to take his cape back from this psycho?! Time to put Azrael down!

EXELLENT, have him work from the shadows only jim knowing. and mafia wars between Sofia+alberto falcone,Penguin, blackmask, rupert thorne with henchmen like terrible trio, zsasz, deadshot, tony zucco taking elements from the godfather, goodfellas, scarface and casino there is enough material to form another trilogy were the mafia is trying to make a comeback after joker and ends with the Dent act years before Bane arribes. this could also be in the form of a series due to so many mafioso characters. Do you guys agree with me????

That's what people wanted in TDKR. it won't work now because 1.) Blake is a friendly cop, 2.) Bane has been defeated, and 3.) Bruce was fully recovered when he gave Blake the Batcave.

And im sure everyone would love to have Robin become Azrael

After some consideration, I've decided that if they continue this, I hope that the plot resembles something like this... bear with me as I pretty much sum up the key points from the whole movie:

1) Blake taking time to decide upon taking up the mantle

2) Carmine Falcone (who had to be released in this film) trying to re-establish his family's organized crime but competing against someone new (Penguin, Black Mask, Rupert Thorne, etc.). This new competition wouldn't be seen in the movie, just talked about.

3) A Holiday killer (a la The Long Halloween) begins to kill people affiliated with Falcone and Blake uses his detective skills and a costume to try to learn who Holiday is. Meanwhile, Falcone hires Edward Nygma (doesn't need to be called Riddler) to figure out who Holiday is.

6) Nygma and Blake don't enjoy each other's interference. Nygma realizes Blake is new Batman and figures out that Bruce Wayne was the former Batman. Nygma then learns that Bruce is still alive and hunts him down to determine who the new caped crusader is. He makes several threats towards Bruce and ends up shooting Alfred (who lives). He escapes after his thugs take on Bruce and Selina in their home. This causes Bruce to get into contact with Blake.

7) Nygma holds Gordon's daughter hostage, trying to get Gordon to tell him who the new caped crusader is. Bruce returns and is able to thwart Nygma. Meanwhile, Blake has determined who Holiday will strike next and with Selina's help captures Julian Day.

8) In prison, Nygma offers up that there was a second holiday killer and that he has the information to prove it in exchange for parole. Nygma reveals that Carmine's son was the second holiday killer.

9) Both Bruce and Selina train Blake

10) A final scene where Nygma kills Carmine, and it is revealed that Nygma was working for whoever Carmine's new competition is.

Obviously, those are just my thoughts. But I think Riddler and Holiday would make sense given that Blake was a good detective and that villains work best when they reflect the hero to some degree. I also think making Riddler some type of obsessive PI would make him considerably different from Joker, while I would like to see the mob element return.

The bottom line is that if they continue with John Blake, it needs to be more detective oriented. He doesn't have Bruce's training, and can't be that kind of physical force.

Alfred,Bruce & Selina building a winegrower empire in Italy. When the local winemobsters try to regain control over their lost territory, they are in for a surprise..

Who wants a movie about "The Boy Wonder" and maybe bruce wayne could play a role similar to the "oracle"? I just dont want to see a reboot, i like what has been established. I posted in the non-spoiler section several weeks ago that the ending was pretty much easily predictable just based on the trailers and I really didnt want to see bruce "fake" his death. Obviously thats how it went down and Im willing to embrace it, but so much is left open ended. I like Nolans work and I know one more movie could be better then any reboot.

Most people, including Nolan have said Joker should not be touched again in honor of Heath but... I would love to see somebody smart (like the riddler?) attempting to free the Joker from prison, and the joker asking him whats the point with batman being gone... and there could be a lot of psycholgy stuff behind the idea of wether Gotham really needs batman or not.

One thing I missed in DKR was the way Nolan just glossed over the fact that Gotham was "cleaned up" and that crime was down (or gone?) but now Bane has wrecked that, kinda weird but yea, they could address that more in another movie... and explain how despite bane freeing tons of prisoners the Joker stayed in prison cuz he "doesnt care" about anything with batman gone.

But then once Riddler teaches Joker of the New boy wonder, they could work together to play pranks to teach the Boy Wonder that hes not capable of matching bruces strength and therefor is no match for them... but now the new batman has catwoman on his side as well as "the orcale" and as the joker realizes bruce is still alive and is working as a "team" of super heros, joker needs more help then just the riddler on his side... so he could be saying to batman that even if he kills the joker that somebody else will step up to the plate bcuz the joker will be brain washing a new villain using his puppet and thats where we will get the mad hatter from :) 3 psycho villains all working together to out smart the worlds greatest detective (and friends)

Nope. It was a perfect ending to one of the greatest trilogies of all time.

I don't like Robin or the thought of Joseph Gordon Levitt donning the Bat-suit, if it were to continue with a fourth film then I"d like Blake to die early in the movie forcing Bruce to "return" yet again, and even that idea sounds ridiculous.

As much as I want for Nolan to make more Batman movies it needs to be a really good story.

No, thanks.

It´s time for the falafel guy spin-off.

No way. I can't ask for anything more.

Perhaps a reboot with "Robin" Blake, but even that will be too close for comfort with Nolan's trilogy.

I completely agree. Only reason I'd want to see a 4th one is to see Blake die VERY early on. No beef with JGL's performance, but I really don't like the caracter at all

I do agree here, I would rather see him get a new costume, maybe Nightwings? but thats why it would be called "The Boy Wonder" as bruce would be a side character like Fox

A spin-off of all the minor characters. :woot::woot:

- no more dead "kawps" guy
- homeless guy with the nice coat
- security guy from Lau's buidling
- subway sandwich eating dudes watching the Tumbler crash
- the two kids playing shoot-em-up in the car
- Gotham monorail conductor guy (Shane Rimmer)

The only "4th movie" I want is a Catwoman spin-off prequel which would be a semi adaptation of "When in Rome". I don't really want to see Levitt. He was in TDKR enough, whereas I felt Selina Kyle didn't get enough screen time. I would love to see more of Anne playing the role again. She was so delicious.
