how would you reboot justice league?

You have asked how would I reboot, so this is my take:

I would just make another sequel. But just make it a better movie by paying George Miller whatever he wanted to direct and get him to hook up with the writers of the Justice League animated series. Then I would stay out of their way.

I would keep the cast mostly as is but make a few changes. If Affleck doesn't want to come back even though we promise him it will be better, I would switch to John Hamm. I would replace Ezra with Cayden Boyd as the Flash. I would recast Lex Luthor with Bryan Cranston or Mark Strong.

I would somehow try and incorporate Snyder's apocalyptic fever dream so we have some closure on it. Nothing too involved, just a scenario of if Darkseid took control of Superman's mind and made him the evil ruler of Earth, how the world will turn out. So the League have to make sure Supes doesn't fall under Darkseid's spell.

This is perfect

I love Cavill in the role, but if he’s gone I wouldn’t mind Hoult at all. Especially next to Pattinson. No need to explain anything IMO, just move on. Or if need be, there could be a flashpoint type moment in flash.

I wonder if you would have post credits scene for every movie after at least to build up the universe?

Maybe the end of The Green Lantern Corps, to set up a continuing story of Crisis on Infinite Earths in a Justice League film however I don't think every movie needs a stinger though.

Just thematic continuity, and team-up films in the form of Justice League and maybe even The Brave and the Bold down the road.

To attempt Crisis on Infinite Earths in the DCEU would be epic especially if you have Darkseid as your "Big Bad"

Reboot Superman with a new Superman movie with a new actor playing Superman (sorry Cavill). If it and the Matt Reeves Batman movie are both successful just say they are both in the same universe. Do a World's Finest movie with them together teaming up (no Vs. movie).

Then do a Justice League movie with them in it. Make it clear its set in a different universe than the Justice League movie we got before.

Plus if you have your Crisis on Infinite Earths in the DCEU it could be the DCEU version of Infinity War well provided if you build it up properly and slowly but also if you build up the Justice League again but doing it the right way by having the JL be the Avengers of the DCEU

I would do a standalone Justice League miniseries on HBO. Completely standalone, then let the theatrical side do their own standalone franchises that aren’t bogged down by a shared universe

Especially given the success (in my opinion) of Watchmen, I'd like to see HBO (or HBO Max) get their hands on New Frontier.

Holy **** that’s a great idea

I’m salivating imagining it

self contained, no obligations for a sequel or anything, just one kickass season

how would you reboot justice league? I enjoyed ben Affleck as batman!! but i think they should bring robert pattinson as bruce wayne & batman!! if robert pattinson batman does good!! then i would still use Jason Momoa as aqua man Gal Gadot as wonder women & Henry Cavill as super man!! unless they reboot super man at some point!! no offense but i didn't liked Ezra Miller as barry allen aka the flash!! i still liked Grant Gustin as berry allen aka the flash!! but i would find some one else to play the flash!!

With a director who has some understanding of the characters. Reboot BM and SM. I'm cool with Gadot and Momoa. Jason flat out surprised me. I'm glad I was wrong about how he would handle the part. Flash? I could go either way. Oh yeah.....GL prolly needs a reboot LOL.

When they’re ready to reboot the entire DCU that’s when I’d do Justice League. Take the approach that Justice League Animated Series secret original took in that some of the heroes already know each other and the origin is of the team coming together. Also take a leaf out of George Miller’s JL Mortal & cast young so these actors can spin off into their own films, sequels etc.

It’s clear that the animated Justice League’s 3 part Secret Origin was the best origin story we’ve seen in animation or film.

Justice League War was also decent.

Rewatching Justice League 2017 has been so disappointing. One of the worst villains ever. Should’ve just been Darkseid.

I'm sure that was the plan for down the road. The road just happened to turn into a cul-de-sac.

PHASE 1

Aquaman
Shazam
Suicide Squad
Wonder Woman 84
The Batman
Flash

Set up the new Justice League based off the post crisis team- Shazam, Wonder Woman, Batman, Aquaman and the Flash as the main team with Martian Manhunter, and Green Lantern being brought in as the new guys.

L.O.D. fights JL.

I would save him for a new movie. a subplot would be that Superman was missing that's why they bring in the new members.

That was essentially the beginning premise of JL.

Personal I would do it all through HBOMax. I would give Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, GL their own series similar to like Daredevil and then from there just bring the League (for a movie or movie made on HBOMax) whenever the story calls for it but that's how I would do it. It'll give people more time to get to know this world and at the same time allows you to reintroduce other heroes who might share/be in their world but just not apart of the League.

I must confess, I do like the idea of having stand alone projects that ultimately combine into a Justice League; similar to how Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage etc formed as the Defenders, though obviously this DC project won’t be as poor as the Defenders was.

Pick the seven, launch seven shows, ten episodes each, then launch an eighth show with all the titular characters (and a few new ones) for another ten-episode story on the JL.
  • Batman
  • Wonder Woman
  • Superman
  • Barry Allen Flash
  • Green Lantern (the ten episode prequel would introduce three; Hal, John & Jessica)
  • Hawkgirl
  • Aquaman
Then add the following during the big team party;
  • Cyborg
  • Hawkman
  • Martian Manhunter

Then my idea would something similar to JLU if they wanted an ongoing JL series with the it being the Death of Superman leads to the break up of the team much like how it did in the comics with his return brining them back together and the Seven come together to ensure nothing like this would happen again leads to them inviting more members to the group like JLU. That way you could have stand alone episodes of other heroes who don't already have a series but also keep the League out there as well.

If i were to do my own take on the DCEU

Phase 1

Man of Steel- Superman vs Zod

The Batman- Based on the Dark Knight returns

Man of Steel Part 2- Superman vs Lex Luthor/Bizzaro

Wonder Woman- Diana vs Ares

Worlds Finest- Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman team up to take on Brainaic

Green Lantern- Origin Hal Jordan Vs Sinestro and the Manhunters

Phase 2

Suicide Squad- Amanda Waller uses super villains as a black-ops team to bring down the Joker, based on Death in the Family

The Batman Part 2- Under the Redhood

Flash- Origin, Flash vs Captain Cold

Aquaman- Origin, Aquaman vs Black Manta

Justice League- The Dominators, arrives on earth forcing the worlds superheroes to band together to stop the invasion.

Green Lantern part 2 - (Green Lanterns) Hal Jordan and new GL, John Stewart, lead a team that takes down War World and imprison the planets ruler Mongul. After this Hal is angered when the guardians transfer him to a training deployment and not returning him to earth as he thought. Instead Stewart is sent to earth with Katma Tui assigned to complete his training. While Mongul is held by the guardians he is able to call to the Yellow Ring that Sinestro used and break out, taking with him all the prisoners. Mongul goes to the weaponiers and makes them forge more rings for his army of Yellow Lanterns. After the escape the guardians recall all the Lanterns to Oa to fend off an attack. Hal is contacted while on his way to Oa and told that Mongul has shown up on earth and is attacking Coast City. Hal disobeys orders and heads to Earth with the trainees. once there he fights his way to Mongul and with the help of the trainees is able to repel the Yellow Lanterns but is unable to save the city or Katma Tui whose ring finds a new wearing; Guy Gardner. In the end war is declared on the Yellow Lanterns.
