How would YOU reboot the Fantastic 4?

Actually, Zak Penn helped Whedon with the screenplay. James Gunn is the only one man army that I know. I wonder how he even sleeps. On top of working on the Guardians by himself, he also keeps in constant contact with his fans, even more than the Russos. I'd be ok with Whedon directing F4. He may be burnt out, but give him a few years and he could make the best F4 movie ever, which really isn't really saying a whole lot, though.

Joss threw Penn's script out of the window because it sucked. He rewrote the movie from the start.

But the only way a successful reboot of the Fantastic Four would work is if Disney/Marvel were to get the rights and get Fantastic Four as far away from FOX as possible

Or perhaps a Netflix series would work

Netflix would do well, but hey, as long as Feige has input it pretty much turns out like Spiderman and everyone loves him in Civil War.

I can't see a Netflix series the budget demands would just be too high. All the characters have power sets which would require a lot of CGI, infact most would require high quality digital doubles which I don't see fitting with Netflix. With all the current Netflix series they are characters which can be covered using practical effects, Iron Fist might be the first where we see a higher amount of CGI (assuming that they show the glowing hand).

Also the Netflix series have all been aimed at a more mature market whereas the Fantastic Four are pure "all ages", a well made F4 film would be about as Disney as a Marvel film could get.

If they can do the Flash series and Smallville F4 should not be too high of a budget. But then again. Thats just me.

Hm. Nice cast. I only know Taron and Law myself. But still. They all look on point.

Shame on to you and your family ernesth for not knowing Jeffrey Dean Morgan :o

My Fantastic Four cast would consist of:

Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic- Andrew Lincoln
Sue Storm/Invisible Woman- January Jones
Johnny Storm/Human Torch- Sam Claflin
Ben Grimm/The Thing- Jeffrey Dean Morgan
Victor Von Doom/Doctor Doom- Rufus Sewell

Gotta say, Doom + Galactus for Phase 4, 5 and 6 of the MCU would be grand. Maybe divert focus from the big 3 (cap/thor/iron man) in favor of F4, Dr Strange, Hulk, Silver Surfer, etc.

Fantastic Four: Homecoming (2020)
Avengers 4: Doom (2022)
Fantastic Four 2 (2023)
Avengers 5: Masters of Evil (2025)
Fantastic Four 3 (2026)
Silver Surfer (2027)
Avengers 6: Galactus (2028)

Personally,I would like to have a young Johnny Storm as cameo in the Spiderman : Homecoming movie.
Here's how it goes.

In the beginning of movie,we see Peter Parker getting bullied by Flash Thompson.
Then,we see an unknown blonde pretty boy high school senior protected Peter Parker and humiliated Flash.

Near the end of the movie,we see Spider-man in somewhat troubling situation and was outnumbered.
THEN,OUT OF NOWHERE!
A flaming guy made an entrance and gave a helping hand to Spider-man.
The flaming guy was revealed to be the same high school senior who protected Peter Parker and his name is Johnny Storm. :yay:

I won't get into the detail but you get the idea. :cwink:
This will eventually setting up Fantastic 4 in MCU.

But in order for that to happen Marvel would have to get the rights back to Fantastic Four and FOX still have the rights to Fantastic Four

After seeing CW, I think it's only a matter of time before we read the news that Marvel Studios strikes a deal with Fox to use the Fantastic Four in the MCU for Infinity War.

they would need to give fox something they aint just gonna hand them over

fox could easily put a F4 villain in an x men movie to extend their hold on the rights

I know right FOX aren't just going to give Marvel the rights to F4 just like that...FOX is going to want something in return especially if Disney/Marvel really want the rights but at the same time it would be great if Marvel were to get the rights to F4 because then you can truly introduce them into the MCU

I agree.

There's been zero evidence that FOX can cross over characters from their separate X-Men and FF licensing agreements without the Mouse's approval. If they could it would have happened by now. And as to Marvel giving something to FOX....it happened seven months ago.

I would make a stronger comment than that and say there is significant evidence (from Zak Penn and other sources) that they can't.

At this point, I'm nearly 100% certain Fox can't cross-over without Marvel's permission.
