Arad has to be the world's worst businessman. People defend him by saying that he had to make the deals he did, but any fool could have done better. He let studios have the rights in perpetuity instead of adding clauses that would have return them to Marvel after a set period of time. He also made deals that paid Marvel very little on even the most lucrative franchises.



Arad saved Marvel but left it in a very poor position. Had Kevin Feige not taken control of the studio at the age of 34 and proven to be a brilliant visionary, Marvel would eventually have gone under anyway. Arad delusionally claims that he is more responsible than Feige for Marvel's success but everyone in Hollywood knows better.

Yeah, Avi Arad probably did more damage to Marvel than Rothman did to Fox. Arad cut deals that Marvel may never be able to end, and Rothman at least did not do anything to Fox that they can't live it down to today.
