This movie seems incredibly cliché to me. It's stuff we've all seen a dozen times before. A human-looking alien coming to Earth. He has superpowers. But he wants to be normal. Someone is after him... He's probably a prince or the chosen one.

I don't know why, but I really hate the title of this movie. It just sounds stupid to me. But Olyphant is in it, so I'll give it a try.

Of course, he was also in A Perfect Getaway, so he'll pretty much sign onto anything that pays.

the title makes sense if you read the book. when the 9 aliens are sent to Earth, they are sent with a charm that they can only be killed in order. When one is killed, the others experience the pain and obtain a scar. The first three are killed (i think Number Three is killed in the beginning of the film, like the book) so he knows he is the next one that can be killed so he's on the run.

if they Mogodorians try to kill one out of order, the charm backfires onto them, so for instance if they tried to shoot Number 8, the bullet would actually come back at them instead.

Perfect Description, its a really interesting concept and with Bay as a producer you can expect some awesome action scenes.

Beastly is coming out March 4, which is less than a month apart from I am Number Four. Could be some positive synergy if the latter connects with audiences.
