I watched the movie and I have a question. The villains are supposed to kill these teens in numerical order. They are at Number Four. So when Number Six shows up, does it mean she's INVINCIBLE?

I thought it was decent. I liked the action in the third act but the rest of the film was kind of mediocre. I wouldn't mind a sequel to see where it goes.

caught this today on tv and must say i quite enjoyed it the action scenes were quite good Teresa Palmer was sexy as all hell!!!!

and would welcome a sequel

acting was pretty solid too

not exactly. when the Loriens are together, it breaks the charm that protects them. so basically now any of them can be killed at any time.

also, the next book, The Power of Six came out recently.

I follows, Sam, Six and John on their quest but you also meet more Loriens. Chapters swap between the trio and Seven (i think it was seven)

Unfortunately there has been no news on any possible sequel so it may be that we arent getting, or it could be just because the new book has only recently come out.

the newest book just came out this month

they didn't follow the first very closely in some regards so i don't know if they would for the sequel either

if they wait too long there's no way that Pettyfer is gonna pass for the high schooler he's supposed to be

They aren't making a sequel. The movie flopped. It didn't do well enough to justify a franchise. I don't see why it would be rebooted either.

i've only seen parts of the movie but i've read the books.

i didn't really feel like any of the cast felt like the characters except for Six. she was cast well.

they stemmed too far from the book in some parts i saw and some of the actors were just not good or right for the roles at all. they filmed this way too soon imo

I'm a HUGE fan of the books and this film in my eyes is an abomination. So much they took out the story wouldn't make sense if they tried to do the second.

it cost 60 million and only made 55 million in US

^Hopefully, I believe the movie did okay on DVD and BD so that may have swayed the studio, but who honestly knows?

I do think they are adapting these books a little too quickly though, even Golden Compass was adapted too soon for me.
