I know who the new Daredevil is (SPOILERS)

I don't know, I'm not even reading Daredevil. What does Hawkeye have to gain from it?

Well Hawkeye has always been a superhero, and im guessing after House of M it was the best way for him to keep a low profile and do what he does. I just dont see why it would be Nick Fury considering, I think Nick would have bigger fish to fry than protecting Hell's Kitchen.

Why wouldn't Hawkeye just return to being Hawkeye?

Because he doesnt want to be out in public.

Yeah, I got that when you said "low profile" before. I'm asking why he wouldn't want to be out in public. What differentiates Hawkeye's unlikeliness to put on another hero's costume when he's already got a perfectly fine costume and identity of his own from Fury's unlikeliness to "slum it," essentially, around Hell's Kitchen rather than handling threats larger in scope?

Bad writing?

So, you mean you're speculating as much as I am?

Pretty much, I have no idea what the motivation would be. Its just been speculated in the book what would the new Daredevil have to gain from this. I cant find a good reason for anybody gaining anything from being Daredevil.

Yeah, Daredevil's kind of like the red-headed stepchild of the Marvel universe. He's got friends and all, but no one really seems to like him. :(

Late-30s is the last I heard. It makes sense if you consider that Dick himself is now in his late-20s.

Fury has had bona fide martial arts training. I imagine his fighting style is normally similar to the less artful, more practical style employed by the likes of Captain America, since he's a pragmatic guy and isn't too concerned with wasting energy hopping around and looking cool. But that doesn't mean he couldn't hang with the ninjas if he wanted to, and if he's trying to impersonate Matt, it'd make sense for him to change his style.

Glad to see someone giving Nick Fury some love.

I don't necessarily think it's Nick Fury, but he is totally capable of doing the same things as Daredevil. And to add a little fuel to the flame that many of you probably don't know, Nick Fury was born and raised in Hell's Kitchen.

Actually, I knew that. If its Nick and its done right, awesome. I just dont think its Nick.

The times when Fury's shown up in Captain America, Brubaker has handled him pretty well, so if it is Fury, I think it might be pretty good.

It's not Fury though. As I've said in other threads, Daredevil is obviously Ned Leeds.

Weird, he was? Must've been a very different Hell's Kitchen.

It was. Back in the 1920/30's it was an even rougher place for a kid to grow up. Less supervillains though.

Yeah, I know Bru can write Nick Fury, im just hoping he has a good explanantion for Nick being Daredevil if it is Nick.

I see more of a reason for Nick Fury to hide out as Daredevil than Hawkeye.

well actually everyone thinks hawkeye is dead right? so if he wants to keep people thinking that then it wud be logical for him to pose as daredevil. i have a question though. is the daredevil in civil war 1 and 2 the imposter daredevil (nick fury hawkeye or who ever) or is it the real daredevil i havent been reading this daredevil story arc but i ordered all the issues in it today. i thought the real daredevil was in jail thats why i ask.

ok, i dont really know about this so i wana ask:

have u seen the new daredevil being all acrobatic and swinging around etc? cos then i will be PISSED OFF if its nick fury -- its so outta his normal way of doing things.

i hope its noone you guys could guess. u even sure itsa man?? black widow... elektra (shes still alive this time round rite?)

Okay, I'm going out on a limb.

It's Taskmaster.

Wizard just did a HUGE thing on him out of the blue.

^ isnt that what ronin does? i havnt heard from her ina while -- what happened there? didnt she just like disappear from new avengers. plus she was DD's friend. taking that into account im thinking its her.she did pass as a man before... taskmasters a rrrreally good guess tho and the only one that could fit in -- although he doesnt fit into the whole "where's fury/hawkeye" ideas

nick fury is a badass, now why would nick fury protect hells kitchen, well the onlyreason i can think of is to try to make up for secret war where he kinda screwed over Cap, DD, and a buch of other heroes, look back at secret war, most of the characters there are integral to Civil War, now did anyone else ask how the hell they found that SHIELD safe house where the rebels where holding up. Cap said only nick fury knew about it right, sooo Nick most have told cap, but hes been gone for months and i dont think nick would let that kind of info slip months before it was needed. Nick has got to be on the scene somewhere, and him as daredevil does make sense, in an way.

I can see that.

It's really plausible, the more I think about it the more I like the idea of Fury and the more it seems likely.
