I know who the new Daredevil is (SPOILERS)

Im sorry I dont see how NF as DD would make sense.....The rebels are in a stronghold that only NF knew about....that doesnt mean Nick told Cap about it anytime recent. These two are friends...they are bound to share secrets. It would be like Robin taking the new Blue Beetle into the Batcave.
"Who else knows about this Cave."
"Batman and myself."
Doesnt mean that Batman told him yesterday about the cave

I just think CW#2 gave a good case for Fury as DD is all.

I could be wrong, it just feels right.

and we all thought Ronin was Iron Fist

Yeah, but Bendis is a herb who likes to play games with the fans. Brubaker is a solid writer who shocks by fooling you with the anticipation, but pays it off without a lame conclusion (usually DG) even if you see the answer coming, for Bru it seems it's more the how than the who.

So it is known that Matt was Daredevil? As I said, it's been a while...

Quite a while ago, Matty was outed by the Daily Bugle. Ever since he's gone out of his way to prove this is not true, with mixed results.

Turns Out a lot of people in The Kitchen like the idea. He's also gained some weird urban legend status. Others think it's BS, but no one knows for sure. This has made his life hell for a long time.

He put away the Kingpin, and made it clear that he was the new Kingpin. Then there was some one year later style business, of what Matt's been up to. But the s**t REALLY hit the fan when The Kingpin told the Fed's that he's go secret undeniable proof that Matt is DD

You should really read this story, as it's great, and I can't be arsed to explain all the twists and turns. Basically, the head of the Fed's screw EVERYONE and is planning to get DD and all his foes to kill each and other while in jail. Foggy appears to be dead too. He's had a funeral, but the last thing heard about him, is that he still had a pulse

DD has gone so far into uncharted territory of super hero books it is crazy. Matt's in jail for being DD, The head of the FBI hates Matt for this, and believes that DD makes a fool of The FBI. He wants Matt to pay. He's apparently gone as far as killing Foggy to keep Matt in jail. Hammerhead is there, so's Kingpin, and an endless list of other cons. Matt has to keep his ID secret somehow, (even though no one believes he's not DD,) but how does he not use his powers when everyone is trying to kill him every 5 secs?
To boot, Punisher put HIMSELF in jail to keep an eye on a broken DD, and to join in on the fun.

Everything is as bad as it sounds, and even WORSE for Mr.Murdock, and it's a really f'n good read. Check it out

Im sure that Cap probably told him all that when he recruited him

^ isnt that what ronin does? i havnt heard from her ina while -- what happened there? didnt she just like disappear from new avengers. plus she was DD's friend. taking that into account im thinking its her.she did pass as a man before... taskmasters a rrrreally good guess tho and the only one that could fit in -- although he doesnt fit into the whole "where's fury/hawkeye" ideas

Ronin is deaf, so covering up her eye's is a bad idea.

Anyhoo, the new DD sure as hell doesn't act like Ronin. Ronin was such a seriously flop anyhow I think that they'd tread VERY careful water before putting her in anything again. I don't think it would be this random

what reason would Fury have for dressing up like DD????

wadaya mean covering her eyes. DD has eye pieces -- how would you tell if the new one's were covered up or not -- itsa comic! PLUS the new one, whoever they are, obviously do not have their eyes covered. there's no way that the new one is also blind. duh.
but point taken. i think it has to be someone with photographic reflexes or i, for one, won't accept it.

The fake Daredevil is Iron Fist. He comes out in issue three of Civil War. And Thor shows up and takes Tony's side.

what reason does IF have for dressing up like DD?????

IF's DD's friend and figures if he can raise reasonable doubt as to Murdock's identity, it'll bode well for him when it comes time to prosecute Matt...(which we know will never happen)

I always found that writing accents like that was a tad patronizing, if not confusing when over-used. Having a Scottish woman say "wat kin ah do" instead of "what can I do" is just plain asinine. Spelling a phrase incorrectly implies that the writer thinks someone with said accent speaks incorrectly. A character drops a G at the end of an -ing word? Fine. They say "gonna" and "wanna" instead of "going to" and "want to"? Fine. Those are improper contractions. Completely changing the spelling of a word a character says the whole way through (ie. can-kin, your-yer, I-ah) is just weird to me. I've actually read Rogue's dialogue in X-Men comics, and thought she was sighing in all of her sentences because she kept saying "Ah."

I know that's how you type, but I don't like reading that in comics & scripts. Misspelled words like that feel foreign to me, and ruin my reading pace.

Okay, huge tangent.

That is actually how you would write a transcript down of a Scottish person for someone without the knowledge of the phonetic alphabet mainly everyone. Writing how a person actually sounds not only builds on the character but adds to the realism and authenticity of that character.

Right now I've only picked up fragments of what has been going on here. What issues do I need to pick up to catch up with this story line???

Why would a god take anyone's side in this? Plus, his respect for Cap is legendary, so that would make little to zero sense.

They are. Iron Fist, DD, and Luke Cage.
Yep. They helped him clean up Hell's Kitchen and showed up at Foggy's funeral too.

Is this meant to be in the Thor thread perhaps???
