Let's wait and see when the film comes out before we all put it down(or even raise it up).Raimi understands Spider-man and he's impressed me very much with the first 2 films. Sandman is the main villian.

Harry is not the villian, he just wants to get revenge for his father. But in the end he saves Pete.

Venom is sureprise villian, while Brock is just pre-villian for Pete.

This isn't so difficult to understand.

I like what Raimi is doing now.

In Spidey 3 there is almost everything, what perfect Spidey movie needs.

There is action, strong drama, enough storylines, good cast and the main aspect as "the vengeance".

So it must work.

I think that's good that they didn't show Venom so early, but this doesn't mean he shouldn't appear in 2nd full trailer.

Besides, it will be enough to have one-two scenes of him for every tv-spot.

I've never really been a huge Spider-man fan, but to me this movie looks amazing!

In regards to Venom, I thought they were just building him up in this one and that he'll actually be the main bad guy in the next one.

As for Sandman being Uncle Ben's real killer, that will probably turn out to be some kind of a misunderstanding, so him and Spidey have something to fight about on a personal level, and the real killer will probably still turn out to be the thug in the first film.

So don't worry, I think this could be the best film of the trilogy so far!

Venom will get his 15 minutes of screentime because the execs say he's popular with kids. Wow does this sound familiar...

Harry is getting the shaft completely. He won't be the second Green Goblin. But yes, he'll fly around on a glider and throw pumpkin bombs. But he wont be the goblin - no, instead he's dressed like a paintballing ninja. Why? Beats me, Sam hasnt explained that yet.

Gwen is in the movie for a love triangle that really shouldnt exist at all considering Pete *****ed and moaned for 2 movies...now with a neato black suit he's suddenly got eyes for a blonde? Not to mention, MJ gets treated like crap and...what? Just gives up? After all HER bull**** in the last two movies? Come on, Raimi...yer stretching here.

The Battle Royal will be a comic fan's wetdream - indeed, fanboys everywhere will cream their pants. 4 and half seconds after that they'll realize that special effects dominated the story in this film and their favorite WTFPWN villain Venom only got 12 minutes of screen time.

...And Harry will be the comic relief dressed as SnakeEyes.

I think the movie might be quite ok. (maybe sandman wasnt necesary). But if you watch the cartoon, the whole symbiote saga is just in 3 episodes with is like 1.5hours.

The movie might be maybe 2.5hours ? and they can use the other hours cramming the other villains in.

To me, it seems like you're judging a simple trailer as if it was the movie itself.

You mean, the trailer actually raises questions in your head? That's what trailers are supposed to do. That's what wraps an audience in. What will happen to Venom? What is up with Sandman being Uncle Ben's killer? To completely turn against both of those things simply because you don't have all the answers 7 months before the movie comes out is pointless.

Now, I'm not saying the film won't have too much crammed into it, or that you'll enjoy it, or anything like that, but you (and even myself - who loved the trailer) just won't know the all of the answers until we actually see the film. And any...absolute praise - or criticism - should wait until then.

Venom is not a complex character and neither is eddie brock. Heck, in ultimate spidey, they dealt with spidey's whole hatred aspect in ONE NIGHT. I don't know how many complex build ups can really be done in one night.

Eddie's is a lil longer but still how long does it take to build up a reputation corruption of a single character (like 2 seconds).

If anything this film is just going to make the most out of every scene instead of having drawn out scenes or perhaps scenes that don't belong. I felt in spidey 2 that there were plenty of scenes that didn't really drive the plot forward and that's purely because they simplified ock too much.

even though they are keeping with this simplified villain aspect, by putting more in will hopefully keep things interesting throughout the viewing instead of simply waiting for the next action scene

you know evvveryone thinks harry is going to get shafted and although he may not get goblified, i think he'll end up coming out of spidey 3 with the least damage and that he would be the character out of the whole main cast that fans are most happy with.

but harry seems pretty solid, didn't get many issues coming through from others in his role in the second film, heck, i gave him respect for making Ock his personal errand boy. I think he has the capacity to do the same in this film but most likely it would be kept under the radar as people focu on the other characters.

his fight scene with peter is probably going to be the best on in the film. better than the royale, or the sandy escapade
