If any rational person was this upset, they would have quit the project.

Here's what I don't understand about this whole situation (if the rumors are true):
Fox has trusting their directors lately and they've been turning out mostly great (IMO) films since 2011: First Class, Rise of the Apes, The Wolverine, Dawn of the Apes, DOFP, Kingsman, The Fault in Our Stars.
So why all of a sudden did they not let Trank (again if true) make the film he wanted to make and trust him.
Just a fascinating production history this film. Maybe Schnepp can do a film about the making of this film someday.
That is only 7 movies. Here's what I don't understand about this whole situation (if the rumors are true):

I don't get Fox. They approve Gambit for 150 million based on what?
Two words.
Channing.
Tatum.
Campea is a hypocrite. In that same video he denounced Sam Raimi for not making the best film he could when Sony told him to include Venom. Meanwhile, he defends Trank by saying the film was a mess because Fox wanted to remove 3 large set pieces.Jon is excuse making, because he bought the Kool-aid early on, and was saying for a long time that he had inside sources telling his this movie was fabulous.

Two words. Money loss.Two words.
Channing.
Tatum.
He did not lose his job for Disney because Fox "ruined his movie".
What happened to "its the director's job to deliver the best film he can with the blueprint given to him?"
That wasn't my mantra, it was Campea's. If you want my personal opinion on the matter, the Studio and the director should have a clear and similar idea in what they want the movie to be. A movie will suffer when both sides don't share the same vision.I'm not taking sides in this, but your comment is so "general". What good is delivering a great version of a terrible blueprint? Sort of an oxymoron.
That isn't my mantra, its Campea's.
I don't see anything to suggest that Raimi didn't try to make SM3 work as best he could. I certainly can't envision that he was being completely unprofessional the way Trank was on this film. Word about it would have come out from other people on the project, and Raimi hasn't gone out of his way even years later to bash Sony.

And at the end of all this, Raimi never once blamed Sony. He handled it like a champ, and put the blame squarely on himself. Meanwhile Trank goes on twitter and complains his version of the film would have been better received.
From the way this man-child has been acting, I'm willing to believe all the reports he was a mess to work with, and that he was the one who went on a meltdown spree on 4chan. Then couple massive reshoots is an indication his original cut was probably not great either.
Yeah, Trank, Kinberg, and Fox are all to blame for this disaster.
Oh, so he acted unprofessional so it is all Fox's fault. You don't know that.
There is a distinct possibility he lost the job with Disney because of his behavior, which was a direct reaction to FOX messing with his movie. It's not like Disney was going to let him have free reign with a Star Wars property. Hollywood is going to be Hollywood and for the preservation of his own career he would have been better off taking the changes like a man.

I put the blame more at the feet of internet fans who were trashing the concept of this movie from the day it was announced, to them taking the ultimates route, then a young cast etc etc.
Internet warriors have just been trying to destroy this movie from day 1. Fox reacted to both the pressure on the movie to cut their losses and the weird mess with Trank was probably enough for them to just wipe this movie off. doing cost calculations on what they could get off marvel for the rights still basically will see them make a handsome profit.
Ok, so internet fanboys go ape**** asking for something more faithful and the end result is this?
MS at least took that reaction and made some improvements to the formula.
This.
Also, Campea tried to play nice all around: he put the blame on Fox, but then kept covering for them by saying that Fox is still a great studio and this is just a "bad day" for them. You don't blow $120M on a last minute rights grab because of a "bad day." Campea is a shill for the status quo.
Even though the movie is bad and had problems behind the scenes I agree. Part of the blame for this movie sucking should go to internet fanboys who were bashing this movie once Trank and the cast were announced. Believe it or not but studios do listen to the Internet community in regards to films. My friend was a intern for Marvel back in college and says one of his tasks was to report fan reaction to Iron Man 2 ( this was back in 2010). So he went to messages boards (SHH included) to find out what fans thought. So I think the blame should be on Trank, Fox, the screenwriters, AND the Internet warrior fanboys.
