Infinity War "I Will Bathe The Starways In Your Blood!" The Thanos / Josh Brolin Thread - Part 1

It was an awesome right hook and I doubt Stark bounces right back from it.

I would totally buy it if it was real.

Thanos compared to his other film appearances in Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Guardians of the Galaxy he looks so much better here in Infinity War CGI wise and not to mention he is much more menacing here in Infinity War than in any of those films

Well, that's not saying much considering he was sitting down in all of them except for Age Of Ultron where he decided to not be a lazy a** anymore and get crap done. :funny:

Are even gonna see lady death in this version? Will Thanos be consumed with love?

Too early to know. Some people speculate Hela might fill that role if that's the case (that is, if she even survived Ragnarok).

I'd love to see hela back, up their with zemo, Pearce, red skull and ultron as the mcu best villain to date.

Cate b was fantastic.

When asked about Lady Death in an interview, Kevin Feige said that Thanos' motivations will be similar to what they are in The Infinity Gauntlet. If she's in the film, that'd probably be one of the aspects Marvel wants to keep under wraps. People have no idea what Thanos is about other than being a big bad, so his motivation being love would take a lot of people by surprise.

I don't see it. It looks to me, like he's standing and staring up at Thanos before getting launched off his feet.
Look at Iron Man's waist as he falls. The distance from where it is before the punch to where it lands after the punch is impossibly short to be from a standing position. Plus you can actually see his knees on the ground as he falls, so how could he be "launched off his feet"?

What will his fighting style be like?

He isn't as big as Hulk but seems to be slightly bigger than Drax. I want him to catch the Avengers off guard with his agility. They may expect him to fight like a brute force guy but that is not the case.

I loved his right hook on Stark. He seems quite agile for a big guy.

Similar, not the same. :cwink: Marvel has no real reason to hide a Mistress Death character. Comics fans would hardly be shocked by her inclusion, and the general audience would have absolutely no idea who she is without context so it wouldn't matter either way. They would definitely have a reason to hide Hela on the other hand, considering how Ragnarok ended and the big question of whether we'll ever see Hela/Blanchett in the MCU again. I still think that trying to introduce Mistress Death this late in the game would be a mistake considering they have so much else to do and so many characters to juggle already in IW, and she isn't exactly an easy character to explain in the first place. They've had plenty of time to establish such a character (either GotG movie, Doctor Strange, Ragnarok) but they haven't, and we've had no news of any casting either. If they're going for a 'love interest' for Thanos (which I believe they are), I maintain that Hela makes much more sense in the MCU.

Not that I care about powerlevels or anything, but for someone said to be the most powerful being in the Universe, that Thanos punch looked weak as f***.

There is no way Un-Augmented Thanos was intended to be physically stronger than Ego or the other Celestials and even then it looked like He one shot Tony

(Odin with Gungnir is stronger Than Thanos w/ standard equipment)

Maybe his power is in something else than his physique. :yay:
This

They've got a Thanos bust on display at CCXP, but it's from GOTG.

I'm not going to get my hopes up... but I would love for Thanos backstory as an eternal who was born with the deviant gene etc... Maybe an Eros cameo...0% that happens lol
Eros is way too problematic especially for the current climate

I honestly think Thanos just wants to destroy everything. That simple, at first I thought they were gonna tie him into loving Death or Hela. But

[BLACKOUT]Hela is dead.[/BLACKOUT]
Since Hela is dead,
couldn't Death user her body to materialize in the flesh? Why would she want to, even if sh did why use Hela?
So Im thinking its just conquering and destruction. Of course an idea I had is that he wants to bring back his race. And needs the power of all the gems to do that.
Kind of like Kahn in Star Trek?

Y'know what I wanna see? I wanna see Thanos tank the unibeam. Its been forever since Stark used it. Im hoping that scene with Thanos punching him is right after he does take a full power one. And emerges like nothing happened. Then rocks Tony.
Tony used it in in Civil War against Bucky

The dude loves sitting down. The Black Order better be carrying around inflatable chairs and bean bags when on the move just in case the big guy wants to take a break.
