Infinity War "I Will Bathe The Starways In Your Blood!" The Thanos / Josh Brolin Thread - Part 1

Guys, TAG SPOILERS!!!

I am not bouncing from thread to thread tagging things all day. I'm going to start issuing infractions

So that scene with Gamora at the end, what do we figure that was? "Inside" the Soul Stone, some projection of sorts? Or just a sort of daydream/internal thing he's cooking up himself?

My guess it is [BLACKOUT]Thanos inside the soul stone [/BLACKOUT] conversing either with [BLACKOUT]a part of his own soul in the form of a young Gamora[/BLACKOUT] or my guess that [BLACKOUT]child Gamora represents her soul trapped inside of the stone[/BLACKOUT]. I think both [BLACKOUT]Gamora and Vision[/BLACKOUT] will be major players in trying to turn the tide of the battle next time out.

Ah, ****, yeah, sorry Spider-Fan.

Sounds about right Zarex, yep.

Sorry, my apologies. Didn't even occur to me because I stayed off all media until I saw the movie.

Thanos is an instant classic villain, one of the greats of the genre straight out of the gate, Brolin, the writers and the Russos did an incredible job bringing him to life, his menace permeates every frame of the film.

Yes. He's up there in the conversation with Joker and Vader.

They just nailed it with Thanos. Outstanding work by everyone involved in bringing this character to life. Absolutely delivered.

I’m not 100% sure yet but after only 1 movie, Thanos might be my favorite mcu character. I hope his role in A4 isn’t a letdown after this amazing performance.

Im extra excited now in how he pulls of Cable in Deadpool. I think that film will get a little extra boost with Thanos being so popular.

Josh Brolin thanks the production crew for helping to bring Thanos to life and thanks the fans for making Infinity War the biggest opener of all time.

If you had told me the kid from Goonies who were a bandana would be an awesome Thanos I wouldn’t have believed it.

He deserves redemption after having Jonah Hex on his resume.

Can't say enough good things about Thanos in this film. Everything from Brolin's masterful performance to the incredibly lifelike manner in which the character was portrayed deserves nothing but praise.

On repeat viewings I noticed how detailed his CG really is. Even on closeups the little hairs on his arm are there which I didn't notice before.

I wonder if that was a real animatronic head when Mantis is trying to put him to sleep. It looked physically real.

it did didn't it? I was blown away by how good the CG was on Thanos

mount rushmore of Villains

Vader, Joker, Thanos and ?

After seeing this for a third time yesterday I am now fully convinced that Thanos is this generations Darth Vader. The amount dread he just oozes in every scene he's in is so palpable and yet he has such a calm and laid back demeanor which makes him even more of badass. What I loved even more this time though are all the quiet scenes he had with Gamora. The scene on his ship where he's[BLACKOUT] torturing Nebula[/BLACKOUT] and right afterward when there on [BLACKOUT]Vormir [/BLACKOUT]are such standouts on re-watch and that Silverstri score is so GODLY man lol.

Probably Hannibal Lecter.

Though, for as great as I thought Thanos was, it's too early to put him alongside the greatest of all time. Give it a few years to see where he goes in A4 and how he settles within popculture in comparison to the other greats.

Thanos terrified me but he did in a good way which is what you want every villain to do what you want them to strive to be and Brolin with his delivery did that in spades
