I doubt this is going to impact his role in the movie at all.

It really won't. Given that he's only doing mocap/the voice for Thanos and they're not using his actual likeness, I don't see why so many think he's suddenly going to be recast or have diminished screen-time. No, he's just going to be in two different comic book movies.

Exactly, and they can always bring the character for an appearance much later as it's mo Cap.

Yep. On top of that, I don't even think Brolin would've signed on as Cable if it was going to conflict with his shooting schedule pertaining to IW.

Weren't they already shooting his scenes anyway. He should have a gap between this and filming Deadpool.

^ I forgot that tidbit but I think so, I remember us posting about him shooting not too far back so yeah, there shouldn't be a problem at all.

I don't think it will create a problem. Thanos is basically voice over work and some mo cap not like Apocalypse.

Truly. They wasted a massive opportunity with that one.

Is Brolin giving any of the visual performance at all for Thanos?

Yes.

Apparently, he does complete the Gauntlet...who is capable of stopping him; yet alone, defeating him, from the list of characters that we know will be in the two final films?

They have got to be introducing someone yet seen like the Living Tribunal, at some point Adam Warlock(I know he's not in the 1st one, maybe in A4), a Celestrial, or even, dare I say it, Captain Universe(for those that may remember Spiderman & the Marvel crossover series "Acts of Vengences").

That's a good question, especially since it sounds like he is already pretty unstoppable with just two Infinity Stones. I'd imagine the way they are hyping up Captain Marvel as the Superman of the MCU that she would stand the best chance, but they could be saving someone else. It was already confirmed that Adam Warlock won't be showing up until GOTG Vol. 3 though which seems like a waste IMO.

I like the look, but it's obvious now he won't be wearing his trademark garb the whole time.

To stop a plot device you just need another plot device. No character is strong to just beat the Infinity Gauntlet, there has to be a twist to it and a twist can include a fairly powerless creature.

While not really the same kind of scenario, Gollum is one of the weakest characters in the LotR trilogy and yet he's the one that ultimately secures the destruction of the Ring.

Pip the Troll will snatch it off his ass while he's gloating. But I suspect they may keep the Nebula thing from the books since she has such a hatred for him, even more than Gamora.

Well, I guess you can count out Adam...I don't think Captain Marvel is strong enough. Thinking someone Ancient may be introduced through Doctor Strange....Modor did say one of the ancient tokens he had was a Tribunal...don't know how that relates to the Living Tribunal.

My whole thought, up until D23, Thanos would not get his hand on one of the final stones, he need to complete the Gauntlet..and that the whole premise of the two films was Earth's Greatest Heroes & Galactic Allies would everything in the power, even sacrifice themselves, to prevent Thanos from completing the Gauntlet, and attaining unequal, unmatched, universal power. That he would essentially, misuse what power he has, resulting in his own demise, be the way he's ultimately defeated.

I guess it safe to chuck that idea out the window. Mjölner has a point...other someone powerful like the Living Tribunal...a plot device could very well be. What will the Russo Brothers come up with now?

Maybe a dance off will work on Thanos...

I gotta say, this part SUCKS. He did in the teaser, and he did in every other scene we've seen him in.

Anyone know or heard what he wears in the trailer?
