If The Wrestling Thread Keeps Changing Titles, Thread Manager Gets A Brogue Kick

TNA did something completely stupid for this week's spoilers:

Hulk Hogan is returning to TNA as an on-air authority figure. That basically means that he will be the next TNA Heavyweight Champion and reign for the next 100 years, since he refuses to put anyone over.

Haha!...

They'll probably work in Brooke's shouting at Roode at Victory Road during his match with Sting as a possible starting point to a feud and eventual turning ove the title to Hogan with this. :hehe: :oldrazz:

Probably the worst thing TNA has done recently. This person being gone has been great for the show. The only reason he's being brought back the way he is is to give him something to do.

The person in the current position has been good at it but his potential replacement better not hog tv time...but since its him you know he'll try.

I don't think he'll get the title though. If that was going to happen it would have already.

Another side of Taker.

Yeah, after HBK had retired and then the mess that was WM27 I was on the brink of giving up, then Punk cut that shoot promo and I was hooked in again.

I started looking through some of those Taker interviews. It's going to be interesting to hear his insight after he retires. Punk once joked about how weird it was for Undertaker to text him "lol". I can only imagine him joining twitter.

as for the Rock not bringing back old viewers, well I cant speak for the US, but over here no one who doesn't already follow wrestling seems to even know he came back (from the people I know anyway) I dunno what the publicity is like in the US mind

It seems about the same in the U.S. Also some Rock fans can just see him in movies now so that might derail him pulling in certain viewers.

The way they building up the Punk/Jericho match ,esp with Punk getting more and more pissed off each week.I cant help but think it will be the first match on the card for WM, I can see Jericho or Punk (preferably Punk) go into the Ring and beat up on two Jobbers and throw them out the ring then grabs a mic then either one of them demands the other to come to the ring to finally end this once and for all.

Might be the only acceptable way for them to explain having Punk and Jericho open the show. I don't know who'd they consider as jobbers at Mania though. They could possibly tie the Miz into it.

Agreed with everything except that he needs to be a face again. He was better off that way IMO.

I couldn't disagree more. As a face we was the most boring WWE superstar on the current roster (at least with Drew McIntyre there's always a chance he could start crying in the middle of the ring again about how his career has ended up). Heel Bryan turned me from fan who used to get up and go to the bathroom during his matches, to a fan who now watches Smackdown mainly to see what hijinks he gets into this week.

The Wrestling Thread is spends over $1,000,000 dollars a year on PPVs

I'm watching weekly, I spend my money on PPV's - do I not deserve to see what I want in seeing The Rock beat Cena?

There's not going to be a shortage of people who want to see Rock destroy Cena at Mania. However I think much like Hogan did at WM18 it's only right to put over the company star. Rock will get his win at some point I believe. Possibly Summerslam.

I was on the verge of doing the same. Watching wrestling had become more like a routine than something I was anticipating. Then Punk's promo had me hooked and I went searching the web like crazy to find out if was shoot or part of the program. For the first time in awhile, I was excited and waiting for the next RAW.

Ditto. I had almost lost all interest and was about to turn it off pretty much for good, then Punk gave that awesome shoot, bringing up so many of the points I had brought up myself as reasons why I had lost interest and faith in the system.

And on top of that he did it wearing a 'Stone Cold' t-shirt! :D

Punk was good on his word of making WWE fun again , i just hope they listen to more of his suggestions.

Also I need to pick up the Legends of Wrestling on dvd sometime , great series.

Bryan was ok as a face but being a heel has allowed him to really cut loose. When he first got in Coles face I damn sure didn't find him boring. he just never got as many opportunities to show that kind of fire as a face.

Seems like its much harder to play a face than a heel in this day in age unless you are well established.

I think Bryan's rise is a lot down to his hardcore fan base ontinously banging the drum for him, as well as Punks achievements in make the system finally take notice of guys like this. The voices of all of these are now just getting too loud to ignore, even for a system such as the WWE's. This looks to be the future direction that we're heading into, and finally it seems the WWE realise this and are taking notice.

I would argue that his hardcore fanbase isn't a major cause for his rise. Part of it, but not a main part.

He's good in the ring and I recall times he's gotten people into his matches in WWE, as both face and heel. Since turning heel, he's shown to being capable of generating more heat from the crowd. Along with all of that, Bryan's had a lot of supporters. JR spoke highly of him, Punk spoke highly of him, even Cena spoke highly of him. And his mentors were Shawn Michaels and William Regal, both respected in WWE, and both connected to Triple H in a personal level. I think his work has gotten him a lot of recognition and that he's shown he can be trusted.

I probably posted this awhile ago so I apologize if anybody notices I'm repeating myself (I tend to do that as I'm a member of several wrestling boards(

All Bryan needs is that intensity he showed back in NXT. If he did that, he wouldn't be so boring to watch as a face. I prefer him as a good guy fighting for the people (ala Bret Hart or Ricky Steamboat) rather than cliche chicken**** heel.

Case in point, the current Sheamus Vs. Danielson feud has been completely lackluster. Their fued from last year was much more fun to watch when their roles were reversed.

Flo Rida confirmed on twitter he will play "Wild Ones" and "Good Feeling" when The Rock makes his way to the ring at WM. Why WWE think this will be better than Rocks standard theme I don't know.

Yeah, not denying that at all. Just saying that, much like Punk, having a huge fan base probably has a good chance of helping someone get recognised and taken notice of, it probably isn't THE main reason behind his rise, but sometimes it can feel like that, IMO. But then of course there's also Zack Ryder. :csad:

Because "Good Feeling" was so good as a PPV theme song, they had to use it again! :oldrazz:

Ugh...I wanted to see something similar to this...

What's happened to Ryder's push is so sad and nonsensical. :csad:

We should have a ROH or TNA titled thread next.

like "The Wrestling thread is located in the House of truth"

The Wrestling Thread is making a big mistake bringing Hogan back
The Wrestling Thread wasn't that pretty to begin with, but even then screwed up its face with plastic surgery
The Wrestling Thread's original posters will be replaced with WWE castoffs
How come Ring Ka King has better production values than the Wrestling Thread?

World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan is reportedly dating WWE Diva Brie Bella.
WWE recently kicked off a new feud between the Bella Twins and Bryan’s storyline girlfriend, AJ Lee.
Last week on SmackDown, AJ defeated Nikki Bella after Daniel Bryan stopped Brie from making the twin switch. WWE.com speculated that Bryan got involved in the match and prevented the Bellas from switching because he was still “emotionally scarred” by breaking up with the Bellas, whom he was romantically linked to on-screen last year.
The “love square” (a love triangle with 4 people?) continued at Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings, with AJ wrestling Brie Bella – and Daniel Bryan getting involved once again.

These pictures of Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella were posted online this week:

Bryan's game is strong. :D

Lilian Garcia messed up Zack Ryder's entrance last night at the Smackdown tapings in Newark, NJ. She announced Zack Ryder as "Long Island Iced Z" Jack Swagger.

This led to John Cena bringing out ring announcer Tony Chimel, who Garcia replaced, and Zack Ryder for the dark main event cage match. Cena said he was bringing someone who is a professional. Chimel began to introduce Ryder but they ribbed Chimel by cutting his mic out. Finally, Cena did the correct introduction for Ryder. The whole bit was reportedly done to embarrass Lilian Garcia.

:whatever:

They asked the WWE to fix Angelina Love's face. The WWE said no.

WWE have a lot of money but they aren't miracle workers!

What's Sting going to do then?

Haha!...

Was Brooke at Victory Road? I wish Roode and Aries would move to WWE.

Yeah, she was sitting in the front row and got involved with a couple of the heel's actions, such as shouting at Roode when he was nearby, and pulling a chair away from Robbie E when he tried to use one.

Good Feeling is not one of his best songs.

Thanks, I always run Robbie E's matches on and didn't notice her during Roode's. If they end up feeding Roode to Hogan I'll give up again on TNA.
