The Amazing Spider-Man If Venom is used again, this is how he should look!

Both are also taken for superhero films already...sooo.

Can I just say, if they want to use Venom in this series of films then they need to get him pretty Goddam perfect. Personally I believe the performance, portrayal and script all need to be very convincing. Because Venom can undoubtably be a fantastic character to want to include, but they really need to get him right, like any character. The same way MJ can be fantastic...but due to the plots, script and Kirsten's overall portrayal, fell a little short of the mark.

There's only one perfect choice for Eddie...

We are totally on the same page here LOL!
I have said he should be Eddie Brock/Venom.
Has decent acting chops too, as well as the right amount of muscularity, in my opinion.
I have always said that the original Spider-Man trilogy messed up big time when they cast

to play Flash Thompson, he had an ideal Eddie Brock size.

As far as casting goes, I would prioritize a good actor over a muscular one. After all, it tends to be easier to add muscle to a good actor than it is to get a good performance out of a bad one.

Yeah, as long as they're somewhat big I really don't care if they're like the spinning image of Eddie Brock.

Keep Venom's look simple. Black Costume Spider-Man with bigger muscles, sharp teeth and claws. That's all that's needed.

True, I 100% agree with that. He has had really positive reviews/acclaim for his performance in True Blood, which I think he did really well in also.

BUT to be fair to him, back then you don't know whether or not to take a punt on a relatively unknown actor. But hey, it's worked in the past...Christopher Reeve anyone? :cwink: :oldrazz:

Who are you referring to?

Who are you referring to?

Oh sorry lol, I was referring to Joe Manganiello, he played Flash Thompson in Spider-Man (2002).
I said he would have made an ideal Eddie Brock, but you said it's better to have a good actor than a muscular one, which I completely agree with :yay:

I would like Venom to look like this:

Perhaps with a touch of this:

That might make a perfect Venom for the screen.

This is pretty much what he'd look like then.

Slightly smaller, with a larger symbol, of course.

I want the Venom suit to be an extremely distorted version of Spidey's suit. Kinda how it was in S-M 3.

Complete 100% agree :awesome:

Great!

My Venom would eschew the distended jaw, the tongue, and the drool. I would like Venom's appearance to be like a bigger, muscular dude in Spider-Man's symbiote costume with the creepy, inhuman grin of sharp teeth of McFarlane's Venom and claws like a grizzly bear.

I'm cool with that, but what about what the actual suit looks like?

I wouldn't mind if the surface of the suit was always "moving"...which would make it look alive, and interesting to see too, tbh. lol

For the symbiote's surface, I think it might be interesting for it to have a biological texture, perhaps skin, muscles, or even scales. The idea would be to subtly suggest its living nature, without outright beating the viewer over the head with it.

I had this creepy idea for Eddie-to-Venom transformation scene where Eddie's teeth sharpen, a black over-layer of the symbiote covers his head (looking like Spider-Man's mask), and then his lips widen into an inhuman grin. What do you think?

Well, we've seen similar things in the comics and cartoons, and I loved it there.

It'd be very awesome to see.

I really do hope that if they introduce the symbiote and Venom, they don't feel as though they have to rush everything out in one movie.

Agreed. I loved the way The Spectacular Spider-Man pulled off Venom's backstory: Introduce Eddie Brock as Peter's childhood friend working at ESU in the beginning, and the symbiote is the straw that broke the camel's back. That's the way I would do it. Then, Venom is the product of a slow build-up of anticipation, with an entire film to tell the story of Spider-Man vs Venom.

And I would also like to add that the story would be a mix of the pre-Lethal Protector Venom stories, his first appearance in Spider-Man: The Animated Series ("The Alien Costume, Part III"), and his appearances in The Spectacular Spider-Man ("Nature vs Nurture", "Identity Theft", et cetera).

I want John Romita Jr's long-fingered Venom

No thank you to a John Romita, Jr.-style Venom. My preference is for Venom to not have the cosmetic tendrils for a sleeker look. To me, that's Carnage's thing.
