it was a great movie i saw it 3 times. and from the poll results it seems most people liked it as well.

I dont mean to make it sound like I have anything against Cyke. I get that in the comics he was the leader of the X-men and so on but in the movie universe he wasnt and I get the feeling that even if he hadnt died within the first 30 mintues of the movie he would have been killed eventually because he would not have been able to do what Wolverine did or what Storm seemed like she would be ready to do if it came to that. He wouldnt have been able to stadn before Jean and kill her. He had a hard enough time dealing with her self sacrifice, imagine if he had to kill her.

The phase,"kill me before I kill someone else," does not mean she has previously killed someone. It means kill her before someone else (other than her) gets killed.

She didnt say "stop me before I kill somebody", she said "stop me before I kill somebody else" which would make a person think she has already taken a life.

Yeah, she killed him. Not a big deal, he could always be brought back. It is a comic book movie after all.

Simple english. The else is her not Scott.
But even if you don't believe that, how could Jean even know if she killed Scott since the Phoenix was presumably in control.

I felt that Mystique shouldnt have lost her powers. Besdies Magneto, she was the most consistent villian in the series. Yeah it lead to the betraytal but, for no reason because the soldiers went to the brotherhood camp to find what? Multiple Man? It really didnt amount to anything.

Ah, but was it a betrayal? Or did she simply distract the military forces to a scam to tie up the government forces elsewhere while Magneto carried out his attack? I agree, if she was betraying him, it was pointless. But if it was her distracting the forces, it was perfect Mystique.

I think at the most, she admits to thinking she killed him. But considering her mental state any writer can retcon what REALLY happened.

I hate that sometimes...

This I agree wth, since it is true that when it happened the Phoenix was in control.

Just saw it for the 2nd time. And for 12:00 on a Tuesday afternoon when everyone is back at work or in school, it was still decently crowded.

Definitely liked it much better the 2nd time. My only main gripe is that it's still a little too short, but nevertheless it's a terrific film. I know they deviated a lot from the storyline in the comics, but it fit the story arc of the movies perfectly.

Funny moment today, there were some younger kids in the theater, and when Wolverine was going through his "We stand together, X-Men" speech, one of them yelled "WHAT DOES THE X STAND FOR???"

When I was leaving I heard his parents reminding him about keeping his voice down during movies.

About half the audience stayed through the credits (including our little yeller), and seemed pretty jazzed that the Professor is back.

But I definitely liked the movie a lot...and I do think they'll make an X4 eventually.

Oh! And Scott's not dead. We don't see him die nor do we see him dead. If he was dead, it would make for a great hero's funeral type thing. Instead, its this dull blank spot. Jean doesn't know, Logan tells her she killed Scott. The later line from her is simply her repeating what she was told.

We'll find out next movie that he's alive and mad as heck at Logan for killing Jean. Nice big fight scene.

I'd like to see a lot more done with all of the Xmen. Especially Beast, Ice, and maybe Gambit and Bishop (And for a villain, the sentinels.). If we could get Cyclops, Jean and Storm out of the picture. Hey wait! Two are gone and the other is running the school….

I'm just glad that there were no terrible lines in this one like in X1 & X2.

X1 - Storm's line about Toad and lightning.
X2 - Logan talking to Jones about how he can tell Logan couldn't sleep.

The closest this movie came was when Wolverine & Storm arrived at Alkali Lake and Storm said, "You don't want to be here." Logan said, "You do?" or "Do you?"
