IGN Exclusive: Frank Castle Speaks!

:unishr:
It doesn't matter if this movie ends up being a heap of dog $hit, all you fkrs are going to watch this movie opening weekend!:applaud :hoboj:

this is very true!!! I must adimit as much as I don't like alot of bad things I heard of 2004 movie. I still went and see it.

and even though I just liked the last 15 min of 2004. I bought the director's cut on DVD.

I will say that what I here about this movie.... has been tons better than 2004.

but you really still don't know until opening day.

there is nooo way this is going straight to dvd...

Why? If they use the script that I read a few months back, then there is no way in Hell this can be in theaters.
I've said it before and AD keeps arguing about it. Just because a movie was announced for a theatrical release doesn't mean it will get one. After the studio reviews it, then they will decide if they want to put money into marketing and advertising. if they feel it isn't worth it, then look for it on your nearest DVD shelf.

Where did you get a copy of the script?

From here. I can't think of who it was forwarded me the script. I think it was one of the first drafts, so I'm sure a lot changed. It had hardly any Punisher in it.

It wasn't the Hensleigh one, was it?

Yeah, look at The Lost Boys 2, that movie is up in the air with it being a theatrical or DVD release.

Also, Hensleigh's script was dropped as soon as he left the project. So, the current script was a page one rewrite.

Yeah, I think it was. It had The Holy in it as a subplot. It was just a very bad script.

Yeah, if it's Hensleigh, it's obviously not the script that was written for the Lexi film. I actually have that one too. I never finished reading it though. Completely different story too.

Hasn't Hensleigh been suckerd into being one of producers of it or is that just a rumor?

His wife is a producer on it, that's all I know.

his name isn't on the list of producers. his wife is, and she was also a producer on the 04 punisher along with a ton of other films, but producers don't really affect the film directly anyway.

That's not true at all. Case in point: X-Men 3.

Well many producers have different kinds of involvement on a movie. Some only handle the economical aspects of the movie while others are involved directly with the production and oversee everything on set. Then there are some who are only affiliated with the movie by name.

very true, i was just trying to say that typically the role of the producer is more of an overseer/financier. rather than a director, who makes the actual film... but yes, producers can influence a film, after all they're the one paying the bills.

i blame x-men 3 on rattner, even though i still liked it somewhat.

Ratner does deserve a lot of blame, but I put most of the blame on the producers and especially on Hale Berry. The producers should've just grown some balls and wrote Storm out of the script rather than sacrifice the quality of the film to get a "star".

Agreed. Plus I think they rushed X-Men 3. They needed to polish the storyline a lot more. It just felt phoned in by everyone.

Hell yea, they did rush that potential Star Wars trilogy crushing Masterpeice. I only pray that with Marvel taking over, a future X-Men reboot is on the way.

The new Wolverine looks like it has a lot of potential. A new Sabertooth played by a pretty good actor, got extra characters like Gambit and a potential Deadpool appearance, and you got a solid director. Tsotsi was a great movie and I was very surprised to hear he was directing an American comic book movie like Wolverine. I kinda wish they had asked him for to come aboard for X-Men 3.

But doesn't it suck so hard that they have to reboot it in the first place? I mean really, that sucks. If they just would've done it right the first time instead of being so stupid and greedy they wouldn't have had to reboot anything at all.

It really sucks that a reboot is pretty much the only way to fix the franchise, unless they made a sequel take place before the events in X3.

Guys, I always hate hearing this argument about X3. The movie is not even 2 years old yet and people are talking a reboot. I'll say it, I love X3. Love it to death, my favorite of the series.

BUT, I do realize that X2 was the best of the three. But I do disagree that X3 is a complete abomination and sucked so hard that no one could bare to watch it.

Yes, it was probably rushed. Ratner did a decent job with the time he had to do it in. I would have to blame the weaknesses of X3 on the writers. But to say this movie is a bad dream and never existed is, to me, complete nonsense. It still managed to outgross its previous installments.

That's it, I'm done!!!:woot: I look forward to the punishment that will begin in Sept. of 08.:unishr:

Sorry, it sure was an abomination in my eyes. It doesn't matter how much it made at the box office, all the money in the world can't stop it from being a train wreck.

I respect your opinion. Fair enough.
