Nice choice of pictures...Did it ever occur to you that maybe the reason Tom doesnt look tough in that picture is because he's SMILING for the cameras? The shot of Ray is from a movie, the shot of Tom isnt, these were a horrible choice of pics to compare to one another.

Sorry folks, but it looks like it's case closed. JANE could probably make a pretty decent MACK BOLAN, but THE PUNISHER is all STEVENSON's.

On an average day, he looks tougher than Jane, he looks more like Frank Castle than Jane, and if you've seen him on Rome, you'll notice that he's even got the cold, seething rage of the Punisher down better than Jane.

This casting is a major upgrade anyway you cut it.

Personally I'm down for Ray, he's got all the factors going for him,, he's big, tall, knows how to fight, and even though he's Northern Irish, his darkish tone could easily pass for Sicilian. To me Jane seems to have to try to look tough; its as if he's a kid show host by day, brutal vigilante by night. Stevenson just looks like he's been through hell and back. No contest Stevenson is the man, and Jane should try to get the role of Moon Knight.

I don't know who would think this guys a bad choice, I mean I understand if you say Tom Janes a better choice than Ray, but Ray is a good choice and a better choice than Tom Jane IMO.

Personally, I think RAY STEVENSON is the best thing to ever happen to the Punisher on film.

Thus far, there's no really great buzz generating from this project other than good casting. This movie could still go either way, but STEVENSON is the least of my worries.

Especialy since he has more experience in action movies. He's doing military training with the Marines and martial arts training, using all kinds of weapons, and look bigger and stronger than Jane before the training. Imagine after the training.LOL.

Its not his character's sexuality choice in that film I'm basing my point on, its the fact he looks like a German pretty boy. Stay true to the source material, when has Punisher ever come off looking like the poster boy for a Calvin Klein ad?

He could have been in Wham.
