I happened on to some, through what I thought was a completely legitimate site - got initially upset by it, then got angry about it - I researched 'pedophilia' in general quite a bit before any of this.

You know, I hope you get better, but I hope you learned a lesson too.

It's probably nothing that's going to have me wearing rubber gloves for the remainder of my life, but even so -

The sites themselves I don't believe are the problem, one really has to go to the source of the child abuse itself to make any real impact.

This is the equivalent of putting a plaster over a grenade wound, it's superficial and has come at the price of someone's sanity/peace of mind and also could potentially mess up their chances of getting ahead in life (with a record of child porn on their comp/ip address for good.

It's one of those things that seems good in theory but ultimately needs to be left to the big wigs to sort it out, unless you are aware of individuals personally. One's actions may actually hinder other investigations...

But if you happen upon one of these CP sites, I think reporting the site to the feds could help them with investigations. They can do IP checks and that kind of thing, see where these guys live.

I think its a bad idea to purposefully seek out these sites. It's a shakey legal area.

If you still really want to help, I advice Superhobo to join an official group or charity of some sort.

Okay, I'm reading some of the responses here. I can't say I applaud some of you hypsters on your lack of desire to help with issues like this. This's a big deal in our "modern" society. Simply leaving it up to the feds will, IMHO, amount to very little accomplishment. If you feel something is wrong, do what you (wisely) can to change it. We are the ones who live in this world, I believe it's our job to do what we can for it's betterment.

I gotta say I'm proud of what you tried to do Superhobo. Sexual industry of this nature reflects some of the most disturbed elements of human potential. I hope you keep up the good work, albeit perhaps in some other way that won't leave you so emotionally scarred.
