I'm gonna try to watch at least the first episode of Born Again tonight (if not it'll be tomorrow morning) but I'm just now finishing up DD S3. There was so much of this season that I forgot about because I only ever watched it once compared to the multiple times I rewatched the first two seasons. I still think that the first season was the best but S3 and the first half/Punisher scenes in S2 aren't too far behind. I also rewatched Defenders which was still kinda meh but far from the worst of the worst when it comes to the Netflix shows.

I didn't have time to rewatch Hawkeye, She-Hulk or Echo but along with Matt's scene in NWH, those are fresher in my mind anyway. Either way, I'm ready for Born Again.

I think they're already doing it, lol. Punisher is getting a Special Presentation next year, Born Again is filming season 2 right now, and I am banking on various Defenders cameos in season 2

Very much think Born Again will be really good. I didn't get to see Season 3 of the Netflix series but familiar with the storylines being carried over into this new 'launch'.

The vibe & general feel is one that I'm glad the MCU / Disney are willing to present and invest in.

Its very promising.

Look at what they are doing with Daredevil. Are you telling me they wouldn't try to bring Killgrave back? And make him purple? And as exhausting as it is to focus on Kingpin again, it does not destroy the earlier seasons like bringing Killgrave back.

And don't even start with Trish.

Enjoyed the first 2 episodes. It isn't Daredevil at its peak quality, but much better than most of the D+ or Star Wars content I have watched so far.

I think this is easily on track to be Marvel’s best Disney + output.

Yeah, Born Again is off to a great start so far IMO even if its probably not on par with the Netflix series. The quality is definitely there though, and these writers seem to really know what they're doing.

I found the opening 15 mins to be very weird, particularly visually. Looked very bad and was distracting. What was going on with all the CGI and the fake "one take" shot?

It's odd to me that a show in 2025 with a bigger budget looks worse and more sloppily edited than the DD show from 10 years ago.

Why would they not bring Kingpin back? D’Nofrio is so good in the role (some would say the best part of the show) and he didn’t die, so bringing him back makes sense IMO. And the parallels you can make with Fisk being mayor and the current criminal running the country (and the criminal running New York) provide for a pertinent narrative. It might not be the most original idea but I think it works.

As for Killgrave, yeah he should stay dead and it would piss me off too if they brought him back or did something stupid like inexplicably making him purple. But it’s hard to imagine Trish getting worse treatment than she did in season 2 (or 3 I assume, though I had checked out by then and only watched a little of it).
