I'm Not Messing Around, I'm Doing Important Stuff in The Superhero Cinematic Civil War Thread - Part 61

I liked little Jason.

There’s a special place in hell for Singer too (besides the obvious) for making Supes’ son a killer.

That's what every father wants for Father's Day... Commercials of David Hasselhoff overtly sweating at a Latino. :o

Happy 20 years for the GOAT:

Today marks the 20th anniversary of Batman Begins.

Even though this film was greatly overshadowed by its sequel, it’s still an important part of the history of the superhero genre laying the groundwork for these franchise reboots.

Eight years after Batman & Robin torpedoed the Batman film series with its Bat-credit cards and latex nipples Nolan performed a much needed grounded resurrection of the franchise with Begins.

Funny that this film’s 20th anniversary also happens to coincide with Fathers Day since I happen to think Begins is a pretty good Father’s Day film since it’s the very first Batman film make Thomas Wayne an actual character, showing his relationship with his son; I really enjoy the father son scenes between Bruce and Thomas; they’re always so heartwarming to watch.

So what’s your thoughts on Batman Begins 20 years later? Are you in the camp that thinks it’s the best of the Nolan Batman trilogy? Where does it rank for you personally in the pantheon of superhero films?
