I'm Not Messing Around, I'm Doing Important Stuff in The Superhero Cinematic Civil War Thread - Part 61

They can do as many handoffs to new characters and recasts of old actors like suggested for RDJ and Chris Evans in the future…doesn’t mean the mass audience is going to embrace the handoff/recast character as much. Not a new phenomenon. If anything it may be more difficult within the same continuity as opposed to rebooting.
Just use the de-aging tech to give us Ultimate Iron Man

Jokes aside, the MCU would probably be way more interesting right now if they even did even a fraction of the stuff going on in that book. Deniz Camp is one of the best writers at the big 2 at the moment.

My 4K copy of Thunderbolts* arrived today.

Contrary to my usual "just add it to the pile" completionist attitude with my MCU Blu-ray collection, I'm actually excited to watch this one again.
The who?

They should have called it The New Avengers*/*Formerly Thunderbolts. :o
I like the way the movie switched up the title in the credits but I still think it was a mistake to blow that surprise in the marketing, much less the Monday after the movie came out.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle review (spoiler free)

My impression can be summed up in one word: "EPIC!!!"
Everything about the visuals, sound, story, until the OST was incredible.
I went to see it at late afternoon, and it was sold out.
I chuckled because there were so many screenings (for comparison the newly released Fantastic Four only had 1 auditorium while Demon Slayer had 6 or 7!), it was like a bullet train ride, haha.

Eventhough the movie had duration of 2,5 hours, but it felt faster than a normal movie, and again for comparison, F4: First Steps had 118 minutes but I felt the length a little, but in this movie, I havent felt the length at all...it all went at faster pace from the first minute until the end.

The amazing animation makes it worth watching within the first 5 minutes, my partner cried within the first 10 minutes (she was crying for about a third of it)...while for me, eventhough I knew it was coming, the demise of one of popular character in the series really made my heartbroken, and when the movie ended and because the way the movie ended in a cliffhanger, my initial thought was "Eh, is it over already?? I want to watch the rest!! I can watch another 255 minutes!!" Lol

The depictions of the Infinity Castle and the battles are fantastic and so intense that I couldn't blink watching the entire sequence. Infinity Castle especially is insanely huge!!! ... Eventhough I already read the original manga so many times but it was still amazing seeing the scenes, the moments, and the battles on the big screen. Seeing the whole castle sequence in IMAX is glorious!!

My only nitpick however, is the flashbacks, and the long lines and monologues, not that it effects that much but felt a little tedious. I think there was room for more changes within the scope of what fans could accept in the next final 2 installments.

Overall...Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle was a mindblowing experience that properly closed off the whole movie event in July (Superman, F4, and last, Infinity Castle...I am glad I was watching it last after the former two), and I'm very happy that this series always exceeds my expectations (personally I loved it more than the Mugen Train).

10/10

I really recommend watching this movie, anime fans or not, this is an event film worth to watch. Heard it is confirmed that the movie will be released in the US cinemas on August (or September I am not sure), and I definitely recommend watching it on IMAX! (seriously that whole castle sequence in IMAX alone is worth the admission!)... But before watching it, to anyone unfamiliar with the series...I think its best to go watch the early series first to really know the world and characters. Fortunately, Demon Slayer is not a long series...you only have to follow 4 seasons of tv show (except for season 1 that consists of 26 episode, the rest are only 11,10, and 8 episodes) and 1 movie (The Mugen Train) before this final arc, that will be adapted into 3 movies and Infinity Castle is the first of the trilogy.
I really wish upon watching this series, those who were unfamilar before, would've see why this series has become huge phenomenon in Japan. Seeing the huge enthusiast from audiences from all ages as I've witnessed yesterday, it is not exaggerating to say that Demon Slayer has had more huge impact overall than the likes of Dragon Ball or dare I say, One Piece.

ah, forgot to say...should watch Mugen Train right after season 1 and before start season 2, 3, and 4...and finally Infinity Castle starts right after Season 4 ends

So Black Panther 3 and X-Men are priorities, with casting for X-Men begining soon. I have a feeling X-Men will probably be one of the first movies after Secret Wars.

Also Deadpool and Blade are not a priority at the moment :oldrazz:

X-Men being played by unknowns would be fine to me. The mutants themselves are the names and they all have voracious fans.

The problem is the Evolution route they’re seemingly going. Teenage X-Men didn’t work for Fox so I don’t know why they think that’s the move now.

And yeeeah Blade not being a priority…
