What deteriment? We just had a fantastic television show. The animated show was great (especially the back half).

I think, what would be a detriment to Part 2, would be rushing it out by an arbitrary date. It's okay. We'll live. We can watch other things. I suggest Anora. It's fantastic and out in theaters right now. If you aren't watching Superman and Lois, I'd recommend that as well. Did you know Friday is Back to the Future II's anniversary? Perfect time for a double feature re-watch or to experience it for the very first time. I'm also told other movies and shows will continue to be released this and next year as well.

I mean, given The Penguin was a gigantic hit in a manner that is wildly good for the future of this franchise I'd say that was a worthwhile endeavour. I'm not some Reeves dick rider, I kinda disliked a huge chunk of Penguin, but it's not like it was some pointless venture lol

Nolan had the exact same embargo, had a movie come out over a year AFTER Batman, it made 200M MORE than Batman and sweeped the Oscar’s including best picture. And will now have his next movie written, casted, completed, and released 3-4 months BEFORE Batman 2. At least.

He also did not write or direct any episodes… allegedly… to focus on Batman 2…
