Getting Greg Frasier back may have been part of the delay.
All I'm saying isMatt has essentially a little over a month to have a final draft. That gives 6 months (probably less, it is a sequel with multiple main cast members returning) to get casting and other pre-production necessities done, 6ish months to film and probably the better part of 2026 for post-production.
We're still okay. For now
As some have said, it's if there's still no script at the start of 2025 where I'm gonna start getting concerned. Seeing as there were reports that Matt had "finished" the script, it's possible that came from Matt finishing the script in terms of writing to the end and we're now in redrafting phase. There's still time

Reeves: You want to keep doing this, obviously. What do you think is next?
Kravitz: I do. I love it. Thrillers have always been what I was interested in, but then part of me is like, “I should just do a rom-com and see what happens.” And you’re writing [“The Batman Part II”] right now?
Reeves: Yeah, we’re finishing the script. We’re going to be shooting next year.
Kravitz: And more of these shows? Everyone’s freaking out over “The Penguin.”
Reeves: Yeah, we’re talking to [showrunner] Lauren [LeFranc] about doing another season. That was a special experience. I just feel really fortunate. These characters don’t belong to me; they belong to the world. It comes down to whether you can approach them in a way that expresses something personal.
Kravitz: I think that’s why the marriage between you and Batman right now is such an incredible combination. You have this skill at working with heightened ideas. They all feel so human and so grounded. And it’s a very difficult thing to do.

I thought of that for a while...If oz is treated like Tony Soprano, and Paulie (Riddler) and Silvio (Joker) it could be interesting. Maybe REEVES joker isn't some psychopath like NOLAN's but more in tune with a firmer agenda. More grounded, yet with jokes, gags, and a murderous intellect. More importantly, it is the court of owls pulling down the curtains as these top tier villains distract what is really coming down the pike so to speak.I'm not sure if having Oz be the main villain would be the best route to go considering we just had a TV show focused on him. Although I'd bet on definitely a bigger part than the first movie.
lol agreed sir.I am sure we’ll move onto another source of ill founded panic by next week.
Hmm. I still doubt it but that's the first big "Huh." moment I've had. This is likely nothing at all but Gunn just showedin Creature CommandosBatmanand it looked like he had the collar from the Reeves suit to me… could be nothing but certainly interesting
