Bummed about the delay obviously but i’m not too worried considering filming hasn’t been delayed and is still on track to begin in 2025. It seems like a very large window of post production until october 2027 though.. i wonder if there’s a chance it will get moved forward slightly if everything runs smoothly - maybe march again?

Really looking forward to some casting announcements hopefully soon. I’m interested to see if selina will be returning, who the main villains are and what the general direction of the story will be. I still think a reeves trilogy is pretty much locked down unless part 2 massively bombs, which i doubt. Matt reeves seems pretty in control and well respected at WB, regardless of how long he’s taking. But we’ll see i suppose. Here’s to some good news very soon!

Ah yes, my favorite topic of discussion. I am assuming you saw the Scarecrow Decor in Penguin episodes featuring that psychiatrist. Also, the whole court of owl's vibe. Plus, the poison Ivy references maybe. I don't think it will be freeze. I also don't think it would be Hush although it was alluded to in the first film. Hard to say. I am hoping for an intro to the court of owls and Penguin being huge with possibly hiring Deadshot to take down bats. Although it is supposedly in wintertime, so maybe freeze will be of use.

Hush is the only consistent rumour we have heard from multiple sources but I don't put any stock into that.

Clayface actually was rumoured from the trades but the clayface movie has made me question if that will happen.

Was he speculating on the Pattinson stuff or did make it seem like he heard from “sources”?

I don’t think it’s true, but of course he would want someone good as Pattinson to continue as Batman in his universe.

Dude got petty after he wasn't invited to the Superman trailer premiere. He has personal bias now.

I’d still prefer if it remains its own thing. RP is the perfect choice for Matt’s universe, but I just don’t see it working as well in a more fantastical/comic booky DCU.

The speculation seems to be getting louder now though.

Personally, and I've said this now for a while, from a business standpoint, having 2 batmen, does not make sense. Now, I've seen the rebuttals that they will be totally different but that is comic book fans talking.

The fact is, comic book films are on the decline. Good comic book movies are even harder to come by. When you already have a successful batman franchise why would you try to kick-start a second one. Unless Gunn's ego knows no bounds and he does it himself, I think even he knows he either has to wait for Reeves to finish, or merge them.
