This. Only time I ever found Hush interesting was during Dini's run on Detective and later in Streets of Gotham. Unfortunately that all got thrown by the wayside with New 52.If it is Hush, I just hope Reeves has been reading Paul Dini's work on the character. Loeb did nothing interesting with him.
I'm fairly surprised Paul isn't involved with the DCU in some way. He has a plethora of knowledge and goodwill backing him.If it is Hush, I just hope Reeves has been reading Paul Dini's work on the character. Loeb did nothing interesting with him.

Sucks. He certainly has plenty of hits for DC. Created Harley Quinn, the first 2 Arkham games, the DCAU, his contributions to the comics.I believe he has alluded to the fact that the higher ups at WB never really cared too much for the likes of ''TV animation writers''.
The likes of Dini and Timm are big fish in a small pond at WB Animation, but the feature division don't seem too fussed. Perhaps Gunn can change that attitude with his work on Creature Commandos.

I don't think so. His Detective comics run was pretty distinct and was able to stand apart from just being TAS in comic form.He really ''gets'' Batman, but perhaps his voice for Batman's character is too entwined with B:TAS/Conroy at this stage?

Sounds about right, especially how the Writers Strike revealed how much they exploited animators and special effects people in the industry.Dini actually told a story on the Fatman On Batman Kevin Smith podcast about how one of the producers involved in a Zatanna movie called him up to do work on the script or consult on the script (which was going to be based on one of Dini's comics) and he asked "am I going to get paid for this?" and the response he got was very rude and dismissive and was basically "you should be happy we are even talking to you". So that is how most movie people treat comics/animation writers.
I would chop my arm off with a rusty hacksaw to see a Reeves/Dini collab on Batman, Jesus Christi would actually like if Paul Dini wrote with Matt
He's probably the safe bet as to who the villain will be but I have to admit the Hush speculation kind of reminds me of people assuming that the Riddler was going to be the villain in TDKR only for everyone to be caught off guard and it being Bane instead.More and more people are saying HUSH now...conspiracy theories, wild thoughts on the whole being revealed in first film, and how this one kid on you tube says he went through all the Riddler codes and websites finding the renewal stuff written so close together reveals a huge, scrambled word that spells out HUSH...

I'm definitely guilty of thinking it'd be the Riddler back then. Albeit a lot less confident as others were lol. Those late 2010 days on TDKR board were fun. Leo was a lock as Riddler and for some reason Nolan was all set on adapting the early 90's Doug Moench story 'PREY'.
Riddler is the most recognizable Batman villain name next to The Joker, so it was a reasonable expectation.
Nah, I wouldn't think so. The Adam West show propelled Joker, Catwoman, Riddler and Penguin as the top villains for decades. I would agree that Nolan's movies boosted Bane and Two-Face popularity with the general public but I still would argue Penguin is propably more recognizable to most folks. Is he? I'd argue after Joker, people would sooner say Catwoman.
And I wouldn't discount the effect the TDKR trilogy had on the pop culture zeitgeist--I'd argue Bane and Two Face probably rank above Penguin before The Batman came out.
