I was making a joke, but I do vaguely remember Josh Brolin saying "he heard" that they were bringing back Thanos to the MCU and it turned out he heard it from a random internet rumor so it's happened before lmao There was another actress that I think said something similar but I don't remember who. I found both scenarios funny.

I’m pretty sure Matt has written it from beginning to end. Most likely he’s just making adjustments and fine tuning it until he feels like he’s nailed it. I’m really curious about which films he’s used as inspiration for this one.

The only mainstay from the show I can see transitioning over to the movies is Maroni since he plays such a big part in the first one. Maaaaaybe Eve since she's most definitely meant to tease the arrival of Clayface. Anyone else carrying over to the movies in a sizeable role would kinda feel like the GA being introduced to a bunch of randos all at once.

Yeah, but we're just talking about some character actors playing mobsters. I doubt Clancy Brown's Maroni would be the big bad in Pt II.
