It’s less about that and more about location scouting, obtaining licenses, finding the right people to help build what Matt envisions for this film and all the other little preparations. So if Matt is dead set on how he wants something, it could take a while depending on how complex it is.

Re-watched the DC Fandome trailer and was immediately teleported back in time. Can't wait to feel that sort of excitement again!

This just gives Matt Reeves more time to find low-quality gifs for upcoming announcements.

I know they're not all low quality, but I just think back to the gif Reeves picked of Serkis running past a crowd giving high fives and I go 'Matt Reeves, of all the gifs to pick!'

Given the amount of practical sets and who knows what other vehicles and gadgets/chase scenes, I can see them needing that full 6 months for pre-production.

When you watch the behind the scenes you really do see how long these things take, like building the batmobile, for example. Matt was also meticulous with his shots. So if they are given the greenlight now that puts you into around a March production date.

Erm, ACKSHUALLY Keoghan was cast in November of 2019.
