Merger Bros , are we back ?! 😂😅

This is leak photos from the ClayFace filming.
This is hilarious, is that what people who want the merge to happen calling themselves?

When it comes to props for the set I never take all that stuff too seriously. You never really see it in the film and probably just the set decorators having some fun. I do find it hilarious that people take the police logo as definitive proof that they aren't merging.

Just look at the Burton and Schumacher batman films, all technically sequels, with all different looks.

Yes, they’re calling themselves that lol

Weird observation, but I've just realised Keaton turned 40 on the set of Batman Returns and Pattinson will most likely turn 40 on the set of The Batman Part II.

He was 33 when he was cast as a ''young'' Batman in 2019.
So you're saying he was miscast? :o

If Barry misses out because of those ****ing Beatles biopics, I'll be shattered; if it's just one or two scenes though, then maybe he'll be able to squeeze some time in?

As long as they don't recast, I think I'd almost rather The Joker not show up in this at all.

Serious question for people who really want to see Hush in this movie (and I believe Reeves said he’s a fan). Are there any really good Batman comics out there that feature Hush? Because I read the initial storyline (which, to me, sure seemed like it was a setup to bring Jason Todd back but then fans figured it out so they changed course halfway through and did that stupid takeout with Clayface). So that was a big ball of nothing. Then I remember reading another story that took place a little while later where Hush resurfaced to beat up the Riddler a bit. Have there been any good ones in the 20ish years since then? I’d genuinely like to know why people want to see this character in a movie.

I haven't read much of anything with him in it but I keep hearing Heart Of Hush is pretty solid.

It's official: Filming will begin in April 2026 according to Deadline

As mentioned earlier, he will play Oz Cobb, stroke the Penguin, in Batman 2 in April of 2026, although he notes that “I haven’t got much to do on it, just a little bit. I read the script and it’s extraordinary.”

I’m really praying there’s no major recasts in this trilogy. The recasting of rachel in the nolan trilogy haunts me to this day lol, it bothers me every time i rewatch those movies. Hoping all the major players here will see it out until the end

I'm sure if Barry is required they will work it out. The joker is technically in Arkham so they could film those scenes at anytime because it would be all on film sets.

I also would think his contract with the batman takes priority over the Beatles, so they probably worked that out ahead of time prior to him signing on for the Beatles.

Love Barry in the role but I am absolutely certain Beatles would take priority (with good reason, it’s a much bigger deal for his career). I’m sure it’ll be fine, but he’s clearly the easiest main cast member to replace given he only very very briefly appears in the actual movie.

Hope not though! Think he’s great and any of my uncertainty about the take has nothing to do with his performance.

What sparked my interest in Hush for this saga was seeing how enthusiastic Matt Reeves was about him back in early interviews. I wanted to be able to try and understand what Matt saw in Hush that made him even consider that character.

While there isn’t all that much to go on as far as the comics are concerned, Hush is a very interesting concept and there are many elements and inspirations that Matt can use to elevate him and really give us something exciting and memorable.

At his core, Hush is a highly skilled and intelligent psychopathic neurosurgeon (with skills in other forms of surgery) who’s motivation is to destroy the life and legacy of Bruce Wayne. His MO is to exploit the weaknesses of his opponents and commit crimes using his surgical skills.

I think that it’s important to note that nothing about any character has to be exactly copied and pasted from the comics. Personally, I’ve tried reading as much about Hush as I could to get a general understanding of the character, though there’s no telling how much of the character would be reimagined to fit this saga.

So far, the story involving the Waynes and Edward Elliot is a very good set up to the rivalry between Batman and Hush. It feels more like a deeply personal natural progression rather than a “villain of the week” story.

Hush is just another anti-Batman villain; he just has a better look. His backstory is a cracked mirror to Bruce’s, which causes jealousy & resentment for Tommy. Take that basic core idea & keep the bandages; the Reeves really can do whatever with the character.

In Heart of Hush, there’s an interesting role for Jonathan Crane in Tommy’s history. I wouldn’t mind seeing him pop up in a sequel, or Reeves could swap him with Hugo Strange or Arkham or whoever

Hush is a completely terrible character who has been sort of okay a grand total of one time but the upshot is nothing about him matters at all so Reeves can and probably will functionally make an OC. One that I bet will just become how the character is written, like how Bane is just DKR Bane now.
