I haven't read the entire thread, so pardon me if I repeat anyone's post.
To me, the choreography wasn't bad. They just have to amp up the cadence, the pace and the intensity of the fight. That's what the editing in Batman Begins did. Christopher Nolan said in interviews that he wanted to show fights as a threatening situation instead of something like a show stopping number. So, the frantic editing was supposed to amp up the energy. Unfortunately the camera angles didn't compliment that energy.
They need to split the difference basically. The parking garage in TDK fight wasn't terrible. The club scene was probably the best. The penthouse fight had the clear choreography, but the movements were executed slowly.
